On the Amazon website it says that it’s 31 inches. I measured mine at 32 inches.

Q: What is the reason to sell two different diameters, 7mm and 8mm? Is the 7mm used on smaller and larger diameter ropes and the 8mm on larger diameter

It’s situationally dependent. 7mm can be used on smaller diameter ropes but the 8mm can also. Depends on how you are using it, which wrap method you are using, and how much grab you need/want. I have both and use both. The 8mm on 8mm rope still grabs decently but is easier to mind, but if I’m rappelling on smaller diameter rope, the 7mm provides more control for me personally.
