Good quality blanket, heats up well and feels good to touch as very soft , costs around 2 -3 pence per hour depending on heat setting

My advice: buy a better more expensive one from the outset. What a pain this Dreamcatcher heated throw was. After a couple of weeks the wires started coiling and coiling up in small areas a few inches diameter maybe three or four coils deep and so making very very hot spots, such that I almost burnt myself and wondered whether it was a fire hazard (this is without washing it, I might add).I decided to put up with that and see how it developed. Then after two months the thing just stopped working altogether. Amazon provides no easy means of returning after a month is up, even when faulty, initially saying to contact the manufacturer. Quote: "Within 30 days from the delivery, you can return defective items clicking on ‘Start a return or replacement’ below. If 30 days have passed, please visit the manufacturer website or contact them directly to receive support on legal warranty."So I contacted Futura Direct, the manufacturer, and they said it was down to Amazon as they delivered it. Being batted back and forth between the two is very annoying and made me almost swear never to buy anything from Amazon ever again. Eventually three hours later after going through the maze of Amazon bots going in circles I eventually managed to get a chat with a live person who easily arranged a free Royal Mail collection. Why couldn't they have done that from the beginning instead of lying to me? And talking to Futura Direct is like emailing a chimp pressing random buttons with zero awareness of actually helping the customer out. Now I have to stay in for four hours awaiting Royal Mail to pick the faulty throw up before getting a refund.Save yourself the bother. Just look at the Amazon reviews with critical ones first and you'll see that many have had the problem of this throw stopping working early on. Very very poor. Try a better one and hope if that fails too the return and refund procedure isn't such a pain. I imagine many just give up, which is presumably why they make it so difficult. In two minds whether to use Amazon any more, particularly for things that might fail.

Just love this. It's large and soft and controls are so easy to use. Just plug it in and set it to temperature and length of time you want it on and sit back and enjoy. We use it in the evenings up our garden room. Keeps us warm even on the coldest of evenings.Electric pack can be detached for machine washing. I have not done this yet though.

Got this as a birthday present, because the sender knew that I was going to be convalescing for two months during the winter. They thought that it would save me having to turn up the thermostat or have the heating on all day. It has been fantastic, it has kept me nice and warm because I am unable to get about at the moment. I find that the timer and the heat regulator are extremely helpful, I can switch it on at whatever temperature for just an hour or two, depending on how I feel. The bright yellow colour is very cheery and makes one feel good, especially looking out of the window at these very grey days. I have even used it on top of the bedding on a couple of very cold nights.Highly recommended.

This blanket is so wonderful beautiful quality, faux fur and the heat is fantastic. Can change the temperature settings to absolutely sweating to gently warming. As I work from home sedentary for hours this is a life saver warming me rather than wasting money heating the whole house at an extortionate rate. This purchase is worth every penny!
