Lets be honest: The Rebelle Messenger has awesome ranges to begin with. If you want to improve either the ranges or the dart's velocity (making it harder for other's to dodge) you should consider a replacement spring like this one. It features an equivalent mass of approximately 6kg (13lbs) and should bump up your ranges to 20-25m (70-80ft). The installation process is about as easy as it gets due to the Messenger's simplicity. Even unexperienced modders should be able to install the spring and close up the blaster within 15 minutes. To do so you will have to loosen six identical screws on the outside of the blaster. Once you have done so you will be able to open up the shell. The plungertube is secures by another (slightly longer) screw. Once you have removed that one there will be one final screw (this one is silver) holding the plungerhead in place. Removing the plungerhead will grant you access to the stock spring. Simply take it out and replace it with our stronger aftermarket-spring. Now you just need to reassemble the blaster: Start with the silver screw on the plungerhead. Close the plungertube with the black screw that is slightly longer than the others. Put the shell back together and tighten the last six screws - you are done! This is one of the easiest spring replacements one can do. Nonetheless: A modded Messenger is not an appropriate children's toy. The additional spring load will make it harder for a child to prime the blaster. Getting hit by a dart will hurt more. If you are playing with others they should wear protectice goggles as a precaution! Note: Blasterparts modification products are no toys. Not suitable for children! The installation of the mod kit causes a significant increase in performance. When playing with other people appropriate eye-protection-goggles should be worn as a precaution. Do not aim at face or eyes of other people.
