Does not earn one star but the review wonโt get posted without one
I cannot answer any questions to the quality of this product as No directions were included with the carrier to assemble it and no one has responded to my complaint to provide said assembly directions. I could not even even find a How to assemble video on You Tube so I had no choice but to contact the sender. Not Happy. Waste of my money!Carol Spallino

I can't believe I bought a cardboard box
Back in the day, a vet gave me a cardboard carrier similar to this one. I thought it worked pretty well. Flash forward to today. I have a new cat that is impossible to get into the plastic carrier that I own. So I ordered this product, thinking that the opening would be much bigger and it would be easier to put my cat in through the top, as opposed to the side like my plastic carrier. First of all, the top of this box seems overly complicated. I read other reviews where cats are able to push the top of this box open. And I can see how that is possible, after seeing how the box is latched. But that is not how my cat escaped. No, her escape was much more dramatic than that. As I was putting her in the box, I was pushing the top closed as the cat was trying to jump out. I would have been victorious, but then the unthinkable happened. There is a seam at the side of the box where it is glued together. That seam came unglued, and the box "exploded" open. The cat was free, and I was left staring at a piece of useless cardboard. And that is why this product has the honor of receiving my first "one star" rating. BTW - turns out that there are plastic pet carries that open at the top. What a brilliant idea! I ordered one of those, and have high hopes once again that I will be able to take my cat to the vet one day.

amazon was good to work with me
My old cardboard cat box was worn out. Although the picture on the item is not the correct one (if you go to other sites, you will see the correct picture with a cat on one side and a dog (horror of horrors, ha!) on the other. But, amazon was good to work with me, since the picture did not match and I may have some tricks up my sleeve for how to cover up the dog, ha! I've always loved cardboard carriers - lightweight, not a whole lot invested if something happens and you have to throw it away. And the last cardboard carrier I got was a "bear" to put together. This one is like the one before that, that I had for almost 19 years with my cat Pogo! I like the fact that they can't see out much - that way, the BIG dogs at the vet don't seem so "in your face" to my little kitty! It's sturdy and should last a lifetime!

I was not really happy
The way the item was shown, it appeared to be a pack of 12 carriers. a co-worker found them for me on Amazon. I could have gone to PetSmart and purchased one for less and had no shipping to pay, since when it was recieved it was one carrier. I planned on returning it but one of my dogs actually ate the paperwork so I donated it to a no-kill shelter in my area so someone could take home a new kitten or puppy that was adopted.

Not a cat carrier!
It may be big enough for a cat but it will not contain them. I bought three to get some outdoor strays fixed not wanting to invest in the more expensive plastic carriers. On the twenty min drive to the vet two of the three had escaped they're carrier. The air holes are large enough for their paws giving them hope of escape. So they chew, and tear at them untill their head fits through & once that happens its only minutes untill the rest of their body is out. The one that made it to the vet in this carrier escaped on the way home by getting her claws in the top & pulling down untill the sides released and voila she was out without damaging the box or consuming cardboard. I ended up purchasing plastic carriers & wish I would have saved the cost & shipping of these useless things. Unless you own a declawed, stupid, fat cat & only want them contained for 15 min or less I wouldnt waste the money.

Just what we needed for our cat's trips to the vet!
We were recetnly adopted by a cat/kitten and had to take him to the vet for his shots and to get him neutered. We are pretty much home bound (our travelling days are over) so this little box it perfect for the few times we may need to use it to transport the cat to and from the vet...and the price was right. It's more sturdy than one might think, and there was ample room for our DSH baby. Plenty of ventilation. We like it can be stored flat, and is easy to assemble when needed. It might not hold up to very heavy use, but for occasional times when one needs to confine a small pet for a short time, this is just fine.

very cute but a little flimsy for larger kitties
These carriers are cardboard and really not that sturdy. One of my cats just popped out the top, he was able to open it easily. I think they are adorable but need some strong packing tape to make them less flimsy but that kind of defeats the purpose of being able to fold away flat. I took both my cats to the vet at the same time and everyone commented how cute they are.

Four Stars
Nice box, but my cat clawed her way out before we even left the house. If transporting a calmer cat, or perhaps a kitten, this box would be perefect. I like that it is collapsible which makes for easy storage. It's also made of sturdy cardboard, I just had a furious cat with sharp claws who really didn't want to be in that box.
