You can set up profiles which takes a bit longer but you could just use it from day one without doing any of that; I wanted to make the most of it so set up the whole family. We actually used it for one of the children over the weekend and also for my father in law who wasn't feeling the best. It was so useful to be able to record their temperatures and of course keep a record of them so as to monitor change. I was also able to enter the medicine I gave to my son and keep that as a record.The device is so easy to use and is non invasive so I could take the temperature without having to wake him. Love the size as it fits neatly in your bag and is stored away easily in the protective pouch that it comes with. To use the Oblumi Tapp you have to download the app to your smart phone. The app is fantastic, it allows you to make different profiles for your kids. Not only does it record temperatures but it also helps you record dosage of medication that has to be given, fantastic. Think this will come in really handy when packing for holidays as its literally pocket size. I set up patient profiles for each of the kids in the house.What impressed me and what I found really handy was the way it records each temperature taken and you can look back over to see how it varied. The alarm you can set to give a dose of medicine was also very useful.We have a daughter who gets medication on a daily basis and it was very handy to remind you when it was due. Sometimes life gets hectic and its nice to have something to remind you.I can also see this being very handy when a child is sick and having to remember when you last gave calpol etcOverall a very good product, but I do have a couple of negatives. Maybe it was just us, but neither of us was able to get a proper reading using the forehead thermometer, even after watching the tutorials.The only other criticisim, and perhaps its unfair, is that it was unsuitable for us to use on one of our daughters simply because it took quite a while to take a temperature.
