Tear mender is one of those products that I can't believe everyone doesn't know about. You only need a little bit, and it cleans off fingers or hard surfaces very easily. I have mended loads of stuff with this including fixing a massive patch on a convertible car - the mended patch was probably the strongest part of the car.

Awful! Ruined my fabric!
Don’t buy! Zero starsI was excited to purchase this product after hearing recommendation for the brand but when I opened it there was congealed glue that had formed a rubbery plug at the top. I had to try and prise it out and was relieved to see liquid glue underneath so I carried on. After applying it, the glue not only didn’t bind my fabric together but it stained and seeped all the way through my pieces, leaving me worse off that before I started. This glue RUINED my top and now there’s nothing I can do about it.
