National Sleep Products Luxury Natural Down on Top Featherbed with Cotton Cover Set White Twin

We have a decent queen bed mattress / box spring set that has a foam top on it. It's pretty good but we wanted a bit more cush. We bought this Down Featherbed top.THE GOOD: No scent that I can tell. Seems to be well made. No feather quills poking us so far. We see no attempts of product to leave the pockets they are in. Featherbed top comes with a cotton cloth zippered cover, using this integrates the whole unit and adds protection and extra cush - possibly because of the air pocket it also encloses when you zip it up.THE ..BAD?: While noticeable, and decent, it's not an Earth-shattering luxury change in comfort. I would say it's "a notch or two" better. Maybe in my dreams I long for another inch of padding. If you have a decent mattress already, you'll enjoy this and do fine. HOWEVER, if you are looking for this product to be the sole salvation of an old / overly hard mattress, I don't think this will fill the bill. Then again, it's reasonably priced for what it is. I did a lot of research and it's VERY hard to find a down/feather top that: 1. Does not smell or 2. poke you with feather quills. This is one of the few brands on Amazon where I did not see that complain. These down/feather tops tend to be pricey in the first place. There might be a thicker one somewhere of the same quality but I'd expect to be paying $300 for that.BOTTOM LINE: This will fit the bill as a comfort enhancement to our bed. We are sleeping better with it on.

I am so happy with this featherbed! It has made my mattress so much more comfortable. I fluff it once a week. I did have an odor when I first got it but I let it fluff up for a few days when I first got it and sprayed it with Febreeze a few times.

Love,Love,Love this is great for my back. Way back when my grandmother made my uncle a homemade feathertick mattress. That's what they called them then. Just cuddles u in all the right places. I especially love the cover to keep the feathers contained. A wonderful addition to a good night sleep.
