Iris & LillyWomen's Cotton Vest, Pack of 2

I found these items after searching through "thermal vests" and am very disappointed to find there are no washing instructions with these and no information about the yarn used. I'm just hoping that when they come out of the washing machine they are suitable only for children. I know it says made in Sri Lanka but they must know these items are for a different market.I assume that once they have been washed and worn they cannot be returned. I am an 87 year old widow and feel the cold more than when I was younger so I hope they are "suitable for the purpose they were bought" as Trades Descriptions would say..

Nice fabric, but sizing is v small. As a guide, an 'XL', which equates to 14 in UK sizes in the chart for the item, is 30" around the chest, unstretched; they are stretchy, but expect a skin tight look if you buy your usual size!

The fabric itself is lovely, soft and stretchy but I have had to assign these to the refuse because the scratchy stitching makes them unwearable. It is a great pity when the thread used to make the garment is hard, scratchy and manmade when the garment fabric is cotton. An expensive purchase for an unwearable garment.

I bought a set in June (am size 16-18, bought L and they fit nicely); was so happy I purchased more. I am a bit disappointed now as the fit is different -- now more snug ; and it seems this is because the fabric is different -- less stretchy (less Elastane?). Would now size up to XL, but am mindful of the length: I am 5"8 and they are very long on me. Would XL be even longer?

I bought the white and pink set. They were lovely, fit fine and felt lovely but were both see through! I had planned to wear them for sleeping in but didn't feel comfortable wandering around the house in these even just at night time, so had to return.

I ordered 2 black vests in size 20 and they have size XXXL printed on the labels. They fit but only just so I hope they don't shrink in the wash :-/ What I really don't like about them is that they are not very black at all - even compared to my other black vests that have been washed scores of times! I'm also doubtful about whether they are in fact 95% cotton 5% elastane as stated because there is a LOT of shine on the fabric when light shines on them, which is not present on any of my other vest tops?

These are so comfortable and they fit so well. They're not too low under the armpits so you don't have your bra showing or skin sticking out.I don't find them to be see through at all and they don't have so much lycra that you feel like a sausage. Just enough to hold them and they don't roll up. Highly recommend these lovely little tops. I'm a size 18 and the fit was perfect and quite flattering.

These vests are lovely in colour, sizing, fabric. Quality is great. Bought in white and peach too and they are equally lovely. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a decent sized vest for under clothing or to wear in the sun. Good back length too. Wash really well. Stretch is wonderful - Buy in your exact size or size down.
