Great for 1 year old meals
My 1 year old had a cast past her elbow for a month. We used this cover to protect the cast while she ate meals. After two weeks, the neoprene cuff started splitting where it goes around the arm. But it still serves its purpose. We used this cover three times a day for a month and it held up which is fantastic. If you were only using it once a day or every other day I’m sure it would last longer. We did not need it to be waterproof at the cuff and I’m not sure it would be with her arm so tiny but if your arm is bigger it would likely be effective. We tried some other covers and they irritated her arm and she would fuss to take it off after a couple minutes. This one was comfortable for her. Would buy again if we ended up in this position again!

Easy to Put on and Kept Scrape protected
Since my grandson took a fall on his bike, he had a pretty nasty scape on the hand, elbow and lower arm. Since it has been healing and scabbed over, we didn't want water on it when bathing and exposing to any germs, etc. This cast worked really well as long as he was not too rambunctious in the bath. I had to assit him putting it on and off because he was not able to do himself with one arm. Great price too and worth peace of mind in keeping scrapes clean and sog free.

Hard to get on over cast
Purchased for my toddler who has a full arm cast. Since this is size as a half arm cover for children, I thought that it would do well as a full arm for toddler. Works well able to cover the complete arm/cast. It was hard to slip the neoprene over the cast itself as the hole is quite small and you have to really stretch it. I do think that it does work for our situation and because of that would recommend as I think the neoprene being that tight gives a nice water seal. The plastic isn’t super thick, but it is not thin either and feel that it is quite durable and will last during the time we need the cast to stay on.

works as advertised
I have this young man that does what boys do. Plays rough and getting hurt is part of the job description of a boy. He managed to brake his arm and the details were a bit sketchy. Momma got him to the doctors and but a nice old fashion cast made out of plaster. I had one similar when I was young and was surprised they still use the same style decades later. I just assumed with modernization they came up with different ways to cast an arm.Anyway, momma was frustrated with bathing the boy because the doctors were very stern about emphasizing the need to keep the cast dry. Speaking from experience, you want to keep that cast dry without a doubt. The doctors told her to use plastic wrap to tightly wrap the cast before bathing the child. She was telling me about the frustration bath time was. A typical guy, that I am, I was sure there had to be a modern solution to this situation. Either I was going to find it or create it. Fortunately somebody beat me to the solution and came up with this idea.I ordered it and looked at. I am a big guy so this seemed really small to me, so I had my doubts that I ordered the right stile. When momma arrived, I showed her the cast cover. She immediately fit it on her own arm to see how it sealed and watching this on a smaller person I got more confidence it would work. She tried it on the boy right away and was so happy, not only that it fit and sealed but it removed the stress of having to wrap the arm in plastic wrap and worry that she did do it tight enough. She is very pleased with product. It comes in different sizes and styles. I am glad somebody had the idea to makes these.

Works amazing
This works great for 11 year old that has a cast. He can shower unattended and his cast isn't wet at all. It's easy to use and also easy to store away.

Didn’t work well for our needs
My 7 yr old had a temporary cast over her elbow. This was too small for what she needed. The plastic was too short to make it over the elbow and the neoprene was so tight and hard to get over the soft cast that it pulled the wrap apart some in the process.Luckily when she was able to switch into the hard cast we were able to get her the waterproof version. So - not great for our needs - but probably would have worked well for a non waterproof hard cast under the elbow

Keeps you dry...
Ordered this for after my carpal tunnel surgery and it does well in keeping the water out. I'm small framed so the child size fit me fairly well. Can be reused. Durable and made well.

A good solution for those with a broken arm
As it happens, my son broke his forearm last week and I ordered this half cast cover that day. I figured if it was only his forearm, he would have a half cast. Nope, his cast goes up past his elbow, so I was unable to use this. So, I can't comment on the function of this cast cover. I did take it out of the box and examined the material. Oh, how I wish this had worked because it looks like the exact thing I need. The silicone part has a small hole, but it seems really flexible. I was able to open it to the size of my sons' hand and cast. I didn't attempt to put it on him, so again, I can't give you any tips or hints on that part either. And the clear part seemed durable. I stretched it as wide as I could, and it didn't tear. I would advise using the size and measurement chart, however. Overall, I liked what I could see and touch.
