I can't download the software.
I have trying for two days to download the quicken I bought from Amazon. Nothing seems to work and I can only assume that in less than a week, I will delete the transaction from my account and notify the credit card that I am not going to pay for it.

Add $ sign in customer's invoice
I wanted to use the produce to generate invoices for my customers. I am disappointed that the software does not have a $ dollar sign to the total at the bottom of the invoice. Support told me Quicken does not have $ sign in the software and I have to add the $ sign using a pen.

Impressed with the breadth of tools but not the bugs and UI
My husband and I both have small businesses but lack the experience to be thriving in our capitalist creations. I’m hoping Quicken’s Business & Personal software can guide us on a financially transparent path - hopefully with improved profits! When I installed this software, I was immediately met with a strange user experience.I was given errors about having too many data sets available even though I've never installed Quicken software on this PC before.I continued through, and account sync started out smooth with a mix of personal and business bank accounts from a very major institutional player. I loved that I could customize the account names in my Quicken dashboard and separate them by personal vs. business. However I began noticing issues with less giant institutions. For example, my retirement accounts all autogenerated with the exact same names. I had to login via mobile to translate account numbers to specific account types, and change their display names. I have a lot of different types of IRAs, okay?!Also, absolutely none of my investments in Acorns were recognized, not even my Later (retirement) account.I haven’t put in all my accounts yet, but if Quicken doesn’t recognize Acorns investments, I doubt it will recognize some of my even smaller brokerages.Despite these flops, I was able to sync my mortgage loan and automatically pull in my house value with Zillow. It was thrilling to see my estimated net worth! My husband and I haven’t entered all our accounts yet because of how long that will take, but I have been playing around in the other features available.I love how detailed the investment tools get. It can tell me right away when a transaction is a dividend, purchase, trade, etc. And it will let me add my own notes and attachments. It also looks like, on the business side, I can create invoices, auto-generate profit and loss statements, and… even add my business to Yelp?! Wow. They’ve thought of everything. Definitely impressive. I’m hoping it can make sure that I don’t miss anything important on the business side when tax time rolls around too.Oh yeah, and about taxes - it automatically broke out some standard deduction categories like charity and medical spending based on my transactions. I had started tracking some of these manually on and offline, but it’s awesome that the software does this automagically as well!Lastly, I saw they have a mobile companion app. I downloaded it but haven’t poked around much yet.Overall, I’m not impressed with some of the functional problems with this software and its old school interface. However, I’m still excited about the larger financial goals and knowledge sharing it may help my family and I achieve.

Tracks everything I need!
Been using this software for a few years now and just added my rentals, should have done this a long time ago! Tracks everything I need and is worth it!

Don’t buy from Amazon
This software would not work with my computer, even though it is Windows compatible. The Quicken help center would not assist. Beware!!!

Okay, not great, but not much competition
Been using Quicken business or personal for over three decades. Change of their company ownership was a bit rough at first, with data errors and customer service not as prompt, interface with banks and institutions not as smooth. But it still tracks more data, with more report options, than any competing apps I know about.I understand the deep new user discounts: it’s a major pain to migrate to new software or do all the data entry for an initial user. The discount is an enticement courtesy to convince you to undertake that huge task. I still gulp over the almost double “existing” owner price, but because they don’t have competition that can import the historical data you’ve amassed in their app (if you are migrating) they can pretty much charge whatever they want, up to the price you think would make it worth migrating into a different app from theirs.I’m open to other ideas if there are competitors out there. Costco used to carry this, they no longer do except for new users.

Buggy after 20 years
When the new owners took over there were multiple bugs created in Quicken which to this day have not been resolved. The user interface is clunky and online connection to transaction downloads is hit or miss. Be prepared to pay double this cost next year. The company penalizes you for being a loyal subscriber as it offers discounted prices only to new users.

10 year old loan wrecking bug STILL present
I've been reporting this issue for a decade with no fix. If you use manual adjustable rate loans, expect your loan payments to change themselves in the background without your knowledge, which wrecks reconciliation. Within a few days of my own annual rate update, Quicken will add its own entry to the adjustable rate table, recompute the payment, and then your register is filled with incorrect loans payments that don't match your paper statements or downloaded transactions. So every loan payment has to be manually updated to fix the interest/principal splits in order to finish reconciliation. For software that plugs itself as business use, it's certainly not designed to make things easier when bugs like this are allowed to remain.
