The Crystal Prison: Book Two of The Deptford Mice

Another great story following the loveable characters from Deptford. This time we go to Twit's home in the golden field and meet the field mice. This story felt a bit slow paced compared to the action packed first book in the series, but things start to ramp up as an evil returns to bring terror back to our characters. A great series I'm really enjoying, now onto the finale!

Not really a kids book but as an adult I enjoyed it immensely. Lots of twists which keep you in your toes. New feelings towards characters as you see new sides to them. The corn dolly may keep you up at night!

If you haven't read the trilogy then you're missing out on a simply spellbinding series. Bursting with character and plot. I would give this 10 stars out of 5 if it were an option. Robin Jarvis is a story teller who's skill outshines most adult author's. A must that will transport you back to childhood in the best way.

Such a fantastic book and a fantastic series. I read these first as a kid and have recently re-visited as an adult. I was tentative, wondering whether they would still be as enthralling a read now as they were previously. I was not disappointed! Just love these books.

I'd highly recommend this author. Great imagery and narrative, re-reading this series as an adult is still as enjoyable as when I was wee.

absolutely fabulous. Well written, wonderful characters, and a storyline that keeps you at the edge of your seat. You must read the whole series in order to gain most benefit as they are like family.

All ways enjoy reading Robin Jarvis and this was no exception. Looking forward to the last book in the trilogy
