Helly Hansen Herren Loke Jacket Regenjacke

Very light and brilliant to use as a backup
I really did a lot of video watching and searching before I found this. A lot of comments (and the description) show that it is not fully water proof, in that the front zipper isn't fully waterproof and needs the velcro flap to cover it in heavy downpours. I didn't find this a problem and that's always easy to flip over. The zips under the arms are perfect and very long so you get a good bit of protected airflow in. It's very light and easily folds into a pocket, though it doesn't tell you which pocket (not that I saw), so I just winged it. It's great for a small spot in your backpack and especially for city travelling. We took it to a swamp even, where I never noticed the weight until we needed it (and we did) and I was happy I bought it. All in all, if you're looking for a great, light waterproof and especially if you just want a good, solid backup, this is it as far as I'm concerned.

Lightweight, durable and rainproof
Great shell jacket. Just the outer layer so no fleece lining etc. Windproof and waterproof .. my husband uses these for work as a builder. Can adjust the band to tighten around waist , zip pockets and breathable for working outside . He’s had several of these jackets over the years! Would be nice to get in navy colours as these always seem hard to get!

Expensive leaking garbage bag
I was expecting a decent quality rain jacket given that Helly Hansen is a reputable brand. Unfortunately, the design is rather poor. The cut is baggy and without any shape, the pockets are simple holes with a mesh in them, the cuffs are elasticated hems, the hood is tucked away by rolling it in. The worst part is however the thin material with no lining, which looks durable and waterproof at first sight, but gets more wet inside that on the outside after a 20 minute of walk in the rain. Given I've paid £50 for this "thermal jacket", I'd get the same result for a fraction of the cost by putting on a garbage bag.

Lovely rain coat
I bought this jacket for my 15 year old to wear to school over his uniform. I bought a small men's size and it fitted him perfectly. H8 really likes it. It's very lightweight, but has no lining inside which would have been better.

effectively no pockets
The jacket for the most part is fine, is light, packable and keeps the rain off. What you would expect. The zippers on the two pockets however are poorly constructed and have a short lifespan. After some light use I found both seized up and wouldn't close at all. As the pockets are shallow and items could easily fall out without a closure, effectively the jacket has no pockets which renders the jacket much less useful than it could be. It's a shame when functionality is compromised like this just to save a small amount of money with construction. It's too late to return but I will not be buying from this brand again.

Pit zips work well.
When walking quickly or uphill, sweat can be a problem if the humidity in the air is high, or it's raining. The pit zips work very well and help to eliminate that clammy feeling, almost completely. I would choose a jacket like this over a very expensive 'breathable' waterproof (without pit zips) every time. It's not the lightest jacket you can get, but it certainly isn't at the heavy end of products. Overall a very good product.

Great packable jacket
I haven’t owned a Helly Hansen since I was a young lad.. I normally purchase North Face. However after over 12 years, I noticed my favourite type of jacket the Venture had been discontinued. I was looking for something similar and I discovered the HH Loke..It’s very nice. Very similar in fact. It’s a rain / windbreaker type shell jacket with a lot of added features. Fits well (I sized up but probably didn’t need too), has a full zip with storm flap which improves rain and wind protection and the hood is large and adjustable. Pit zips aid with ventilation. Interior is basic no padding just a white laminated type lining which is smooth and comfortable to the touch. Makes a bit of noise when moving but is to be expected for the type of material. Ideal for popping in bottom of bag and bringing out in the rain, or simply wearing as a casual jacket around Town on a cooler day.Chose the ford blue.. might consider the other colours!Overall very nice 👍
