I've never tried a body chain before, but I picked up the gold-colored body chain with black gems down the front and I think that this is so flattering! I like how it draws the eye to my lower ribcage (one of the skinnier parts of my body.) At about 5'5", the bead ends about 2"-3" above my belly button (the necklace length is adjustable), and the three chains end right around the top of my hips. I have a mom pooch and wear an Old Navy size 8 pant, and this works great, there's several inches at the back of the bottom chain to make it bigger or smaller in circumference.BTW, because of all the chains, I found it easiest to put on by clipping on the bottom chain, moving the clasp to the back, before attaching the necklace. Try to store it in the same way that it came because it has the potential to snarl otherwise.
