Sumi Jo: Virtuoso Arias

I ordered this as a used product. The CD played fine and the music was beautiful but the plastic case it came in was broken and falls apart when you open it. You get what you pay for.

Sumi Jo is extraordinary, - I won't repeat what others have effused here. However, I like to play my CDs on my computer while working. This CD is not playable on a computer.I suspect it must be some sort of copy protection - the playback is accompanied with massive static sounds (ERATO Disque SA). While it plays cleanly on my living room set, I cannot play it in the office, nor can I convert it to MP3 for my ipod. At first I thought it was somehow a flawed disk, so I exchanged it through Amazon, but the replacement is the same.It is completely legal to play YOUR OWN music on YOUR OWN computer, or to "rip" YOUR OWN music to MP3 for playing in YOUR OWN ipod. Amazon should make clear that these disks are quite limited in their application. I will return it also.

Sumi Jo has the most incredible voice I've ever heard and her range is unbelievable! The crystal clearity and awsome agility of her voice are not to be missed! She is my other favorite (I have two). I very highly recommend any CD that Sumi Jo is a part of. She's WONDERFUL!

Sumi Jo is one of my favorite opera performers. I've been privileged to see her perform several of the songs off this album live including Der Holle Rache from The Magic Flute and Una voce poco fa from The Barber of Seville. If you are a Sumi fan or an opera fan, this is a great CD to own.

The CD would only play in my car. Sumi Jo has a marvelous voice. It sounded good, BUT the files were an odd kind that would not be recognized by the computer. Try as hard as I did, I could not import it into iTunes. That makes the CD worthless to me and I returned it. I don't know how you can check before a purchase that you will be able to import into iTunes. I've never had this problem before.

Sumi's brilliant voice and incredible range are shown off wonderfully in this CD. I was actually hoping the music would be of more familiar arias. She certainly has a dynamic voice.

I don't remember how I heard about her but wow does she have a voice!!

This sumi no cd is really good ,very beautiful arias on this cd ,would have awarded 5 stars, but for the fact the inner notes inside the CD were very creased, as I am a person who takes great care of my cds and dvds I was somewhat cross about this, as this is not what one would expect from a cd that is brand new, also a more expensive cd one expects the best quality.Pauline
