Effective, discrete, neat protection for your floor
We had flexible plastic or vinyl cups with cork bottoms on our chair legs in the kitchen to protect the floor. They never quite fit right, falling off if you lifted the chair a bit, looked awkward, and they collected dust and hair and were rather disgusting. I stumbled on these chair socks which, to be honest, didn't have the most convincing promotional copy. The sizing was confusing. I wasn't sure what I was getting, but they didn't cost a fortune so I decided to try them. These are made of an elastic material that stretches quite a bit. The socks are about 1.5" wide x 3" tall unstretched but can fit a leg at least several inches in diameter. These fit a wide variety of chair leg sizes and shapes and fit snugly. They stay nicely on the legs even if you lift the chair up. We've used them for about 3 months now. They protect the floor fine, allow the chairs to slide in and out smoothly, and you hardly notice them. But BEST OF ALL they do not seem to collect dust balls or other detritus which makes the kitchen MUCH more pleasant. According to the description these are washable. We have not needed to wash them yet, so I can't speak to how well they work after washing. Based on our experience I would highly recommend these chair socks.

Decrease noise and scratches
We got these for our wooden dining room set, which sits on tile floors. The noise of wood scraping on the tile was way too loud, plus there were the scratches! Since putting these on, you can move the chairs without all of that irritating noise, and no more scratches!

These are easy to put on
We finally have a solution that works! We went through so many different products all with their own issues. These are easy to put on, look nice, allow the chair to slide, and don't leave residue on my chair or floor. I wish we had found them sooner!
