Got this collar for my GSP pup. The pup is 16 weeks old and has discovered his voice. I'm an experienced dog trainer & have used bark collars before. This has more features than earlier generations, in that is provides multiple levels of sensitivity for vibration, auditory, and electrical correction. Given my pup's young age I have NOT chosen to use the electrical correction, as the vibration and auditory modes work just fine with him.I find the Level 4 works well and the collar is only used at night when he"s crated. I remove it in the morning. In my experience the collar should get a recharge every third day for optimal performance. It's clearly the best version of a bark collar that I've had.

We bought two smart barking collars for our pups. We only place the bark collars on during the day when others may be walking their dogs. Setting wise, we avoid the shock setting and prefer 2-3 for the beeping and vibrating. Keep in mind, these collars will discourage your dogs from barking, and that isn't always ideal. Our pups seem to have caught on to collars being only placed on them during the day, which is good for us. We need them to chase the deer, racoons, and squirrels from the vineyard/garden.One other thing, if the dogs are near each other and one barks really loud, it will set off the collar on the other dog too. We learned that one the hard way.Good value. Good charge. Good results. Very easy to use.

Love how it keeps a charge for 2-3 days, so if I forget to put it on the charger for a day it’s not a big deal. The collar holds tough to my dogs playing. I really like the different settings. And it’s not super big and bulky like a lot of collars I’ve used before.

My sweet Luna is about to turn 2 now and I've been working with her on not barking for about a year (note this excludes at a dog park, she can do whatever she wants there!). I was able to use positive reinforcement to stop about 90% of it but the remaining 10% has eluded me, when we're on a walk and sees something before I do and barks before I can vibrate her collar to warn her off. Inevitably I'll be picking up after her or something that requires both hands.Anyway, I've been looking for a while for a collar that does two things:1. Goes off when she barks2. Doesn't go off when she doesn't barkThis has been surprisingly hard to find. Believe it or not, I've had collars that don't go off at all, and I've had collars that have vibrated when she was drinking water, scratching behind her ears, and one that went off when she was just walking beside me!Anyway, I've had this one for a few weeks now and so far it's 100% accurate. Goes off when she barks, doesn't when she doesn't. I have the sensitivity at 3/5 and it does miss some of the quieter, muffle-barks she does. I am considering turning the sensitivity up but I also don't mind the muffled ones too much.So, pros? It works just like a bark collar should. Which apparently is difficult to do. Who knew?Cons: Lasts 1-2 weeks on a full charge. This is great, but in my perusing I've seen some that have lasted months. And, the beeping is VERY loud. Once I finalize my decision to keep it, I'll be putting epoxy in the speaker holes to quiet it down. Otherwise, a great find. I might order another one just in case this company disappears... unfortunately small item tech companies seem to be rather ephemeral these days.

Purchased this for my [7-1/2 month] beagle boy hound prior to his adoption day to find out he’s not all that vocal, but when he is, it’s loud, and he doesn’t cease quickly. This collar changed all that. He’d bark as soon as went out in his kennel/dog run, when he spots a deer while on a ride in the vehicle, or playing with the big dogs.I started out with vibrate only, sensitivity 5, as I only wanted it to go off when he truly barked. It stopped his barking while in the kennel. But he’d still be excessively barking at the big dogs, and not stop. I added zap, and he didn’t bark again — for days. He barks now only once, usually a whisper bark, to alert me, and stops when I give him a reassuring “I see.”I tried the collar with beep and vibrate, but the beep delayed the vibration so I opted not to engage the beep. Preference would be vibration occur when beep goes off, as this is not a manual training collar, and response that gets his attention needs to be immediate. Just on beep did nothing, but my assumption is that beep first needs to be used with the vibration so that when they hear the beep they learn to stop so that nothing further will happen.I think this is a great collar, for city dog. If not put this on my bf’s beefy hunt dogs. Collar is easy to adjust and it stays in place, high on neck, for the most part. Once in a while, it will slide to the side, but it seems to be still effective in that position.I use this only because I had already purchased, but after meeting my dog, I don’t think it was necessary in his training. He did respond skittishly. And after that first and only use with shock he then whimper whined for the next day when he would normally have barked.I would recommend this bark collar. I like how it lights up. Having only two buttons makes selecting desired program easy. It looks good, both device and band.My beagle is 32 pounds, with 14” neck.

I ordered a different collar first and it lasted about two weeks, it only worked part time so I ordered the akuvu collar and it is great. Still working perfectly, I have barely had to charge it. It only goes off when my dog barks and it stops her from barking after the beep, I don’t know if she has even been shocked yet. It far exceeded my expectations and I would actually pay a lot more if I ever need another one, am now a loyal customer. Thank you for making a good product, it is rare these days!
