good noise dampening and they're very pretty!!
for things like chatter and music, they do the trick! i have 8 of them on the wall and tested with some loud music from my laptop. i could only hear the music in the neighboring rooms from my door, not through the wall anymore. i plan on putting the rest on the door and seeing how much that helps as well.these work well for my needs (voice chats/talking, music, games, and tv), but i'd say if it's not enough for your needs, layer them a little! you may also just have to keep a towel or something at the bottom of your door as, like my door, there's plenty gap at the bottom for more noise to slip out.

Perfect Pop of Color
I got these because I have a large, sad, and kinda beat-up wall in my room but I’m a renter so I was looking for a way to cover up the imperfections without making it worse. These are PERFECT!!I ended up using craft glue (made for felt projects) to glue a rolled up piece of blue painters tape to the tile and then the tape sticks fine to the wall without much worry about damage. Granted, they’re newly installed, but they feel secure this way.I can’t speak much to noise absorption efficiency but I can definitely recommend these as a renter-friendly statement wall decor idea!!

Nice
Nice looking and feels like good quality. Mine came nicely packaged and undamaged. They should help absorb and dampen down the sound. Here's a tip..use Dress Makers pins to install. One pin in the middle of the tile and a bit of skill with a hammer and it will hold nicely with one pin. You only have tiny pin holes that can easily be filled with paint. The tiny pin head doesn't show either.

Fun and modern sound-proofing for my trumpet player husband that looks nice!!
Being married to a trumpet player, we have had all kinds of “sound proofing” in our room, including ugly pegboard and packing foam. These not only look very nice and modern, but he has been super impressed by how well they sound-proof! No reverberation at all now when he practices in there, and I am happy because they look so modern and fun! The only issue we had at first is that we tried to mount them with normal scotch double-sided tape and they didn’t hold. You need to get some actual “mounting tape” (we got the Gorilla brand) and they hold up just fine! We love these and will absolutely be buying more if he wants to sound-proof any other rooms!!

Barn Quilt Design Wall
Combining my love of barn quilts with my need for a large design wall… BAM!This is the first thing I see every time I walk into my quilt studio. I either see my size HUGE barn quilt or a quilt I’m working on. LIFE IS GOOD!A quilt design wall is normally covered with flannel. Quilt blocks in progress can easily stick to the wall without using pins because of the gripping power of flannel. The problem with a flannel design wall is it's always covered with stray threads.Using acoustical tiles as my design wall, I knew I'd have to use pins. I'm A-ok with that. Since the tiles are made of dense material, I chose these pins to mount my quilt blocks: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VXN77S6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1These acoustical tiles are very easy to cut. Since the pattern I created requires a bunch of half-square triangles, all I used was a long ruler and a box cutter. I made my cut on the backs of the tiles as the front of the tiles have a clean beveled edge I wanted to preserve. Once the acoustical tiles are cut, I used 2-way tape to mount to the wall:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MLRHC8M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The hardest part of this project is settling on the star I wanted to create and choosing the color. I'm absolutely giddy about this project turned out. I love the multiple functions of this barn quilt design wall. Rustic art. Sound absorbing. Functional wall. Just pure joy! I have some extra tiles, another wall and a whole bunch of imagination. The possibilities are endless!

Home studio with no echo
Aesthetically pleasing and yet effective against echo and sound bounce in my home studio. I replaced 2 inch black accordion style foam squares with these and they are comparable in my space.

Good for work from home people
I had a tiny echo in my mic. I got the larger octagons in various shades of blue and the smoke white. I set them up on a temporary basis to see how I liked them. I took them down and am currently figuring out how I want the final arrangement to be.I will post updates

Look good!
It's hard to say how much these help dampen sound but they must help a little! I just like that they aren't as hideous as so many other options for sound dampening. They install just great with two-way tape - I think I got 3M brand and put 5 little pieces on each square. I used a laser level to hang them. They also cut very easily and cleanly with a ruler and box cutter.

Great for displaying enamel pins
I bought these to showcase my enamel pin collection. They work really well and look cool. I haven't secured them to the wall yet but hoping command strips do the job. It did not come with any adhesive straps, unfortunately.
