This is a really good and sturdy bed, especially for the money. It was easy to assemble, in fact I manged to put it together on my own within an hour. Looks nice and great value for money

It was a little bit awkward to put up because not every single piece of wood is labelled so we had to try and match up pieces using the images given to us and approximate sizes. It is quite strong but it is also quite heavy and awkward trying to manouever when setting up. The positive is that it is extremely robust and can tolerate a couple of knocks as well as support a thick mattress and two adults reasonably well. The design is simple but stylish due to it being primarily made of natural wood. Some of the planks however that go across the bed to support the mattress were a little bit rough. If you have the time and the means it wouldn't hurt to just sand and smoothe over the rough edges. The fixings were all there which is good and they're equally as strong if not moreso than the wood the main bed frame is made from. There is super glue supplied which helps keep the dowels in place and makes the bed even more secure. I'm really happy because I felt super safe sleeping in this bed and that even when leaning on it slightly nothing snapped or broke. It's deceptively strong. It doesn't look strong but when you put the whole frame together it can handle a lot of weight, movement and pressure. You don't have to worry that if you turn over in your sleep one of the planks or the central support will snap or bow out and give way. Even though its got a rustic, natural, simple looking design it fits great in the room with warm colours and other freestanding solid wooden furniture in a standard double bedroom. Other than being slightly awkward to put up due to heaviness, shape, mislabelled or unlabelled parts it's actually great in terms of functionality and design not to mention overal aesthetic appearance if aesthetics of a room are important to you.

Easy to build and feels sturdy with good solid wood. You need an electric screwdriver though otherwise you'll be working on the slats forever. One pair of screw holes didn't line up but we just screwed them in anyway, not in a part that needs a lot of screws anyway.

It’s what I thought it was going to be , for a cheap bed not bad, the corner posts were a bit smaller than I anticipated, looks a bit flimsy! But they work quite well . There was one fixing missing which held the side to the post, which I phoned up about and because it was a Thursday, didn’t appear until the Monday afternoon, also the centre supports seem too long and I had to cut them down slightly as the bed rocked side to side ?, if you don’t mind doing some diy to the bed and glueing all the joints ( you need some more glue) it’s probably not bad , I don’t know how long it will last but for now it’s ok

Easy to assemble as long as you don't dive in. Study the pictures in the instruction book and look for the indicators as to the orientation of parts before you start. Lay out all the parts and know which screw goes where. As with most things preparation is everything.The only negative isn't with the Mercer furniture at all but with the delivery. I've bought 8 items from Mercer Furniture and all are great quality and easy to put together and although all purchases say I will be contacted prior to delivery I never have. Luckily I work from home alot and I've been in when the delivery has turned up. and all have been early which is a good thing but not if your not in.
