Lack of instructions are a problem.
This is certainly a bright flashlight. I don't have a luminosity meter, so I can't tell if it's truly 2500 lumens, but it's certainly brighter than any other flashlight I've owned. It's well-constructed, and appears to be water-resistant if not waterproof. So why only three stars? Mainly because it comes with no instructions whatsoever. If you're familiar with this type of LED flashlight, you'll have no trouble figuring it out. I bought one for my mother, who never owned an LED flashlight before, and she had the devil of a time figuring out how to install the batteries. (In case this is your first LED flashlight: Unscrew the end with the big orange button, remove the battery holder, and insert 3 AAA batteries [not included] with the flat side of the battery against the spring. Put the battery case back with the pointy end towards the bulb.)It has several operating modes: low, medium, and high brightness; flashing; flashing SOS. Again, without the instructions, it's not obvious how to switch between modes. (A deep click of the orange button turns the light on/off; a light touch on the button switches between modes.)The flashlight has an impressive zoom. The front of the flashlight pulls out, changing the distance of a magnifying lens from the bulb. You can control a wide variation in spot size. However, the diagram on the front of the flashlight is a bit confusing, since what it calls IN is what you get when the lens is furthest out from the bulb and what it calls OUT is when the lens is furthest in. Or perhaps the scale refers to the relative brightness per unit area, but there are no units on the diagram to give you a clue. The flashlight comes with a translucent plastic tube, as shown in the pictures. I could not figure out what the tube was for. It's not for storing batteries, since three AAAs won't fit in it. It doesn't seem to fit any part of the flashlight. Perhaps it's meant to hold the flashlight cord, but if so it's not obvious how to make that work.My advice: If you're used to LED flashlights and want one that delivers a lot of lumens for the size, this is a good choice. If you've never owned one before, and you're not handy with gadgets, you might want to find one with explicit directions.Edit: Thanks to Ann Mackie (see comment), I now know what the plastic tube is for. It's for a 18650, a standard rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It's sold on Amazon, for example: Outlite 2 PCS 3.7V 18650 3600mAh Protected Lithium Li-ion Rechargeable Battery for LED Light& Headlight& Headlamp& Handheld Flashlight& Torch with 1PCS Quick Smart Charger . Once I knew that, a few web searches revealed that this is a standard rechargeable battery used in LED flashlights. I guess I didn't know as much about LED flashlights as I thought I did!I stand by my review: If some kind of instructions had been included, I wouldn't have been confused.

Let the light shine
Hi I have been looking for a great flash light for my son's car. One that can be seen for a long range in the dark or when weather is bad. This one seems to fit the bill for him. Yes I did see the past reviews not all it is made up to be or not the right maker . So my hopes was gaued by the past a little.Yes I did not find the 2500 Lumens that it claimed but is it bright yes, and it is made out of metal . I wish the grip was better and the zoom not as easy to change . But at this price point and as bright as it is . For a simple durable flash light this is the one for you. He used this flash light lready twice. And for my small part I am glad I did .Some of the past reviews did not do this light right . I think if you know what you expect from a light and you get it . Then you should be very happy. Yes it did have a " Cree" name on it . And I could not find this modle online in another place . So I can not say if it is or not . But it does also come with a xtra smaller flash light . We gave it to our mother in law ;0) You pay very little for what you get in return .I would like to say thank you for reading my review of the 2500 Lumen Zoomable Cree XML T6 Led flash light and I hope that it helps in some way.As per Amazon .com rules and regulations I must tell you that I have gotten this item at a discounted rate for my honest feedback .

No such thing as a 2500 lumen flashlight... The best Purchase, READ
Everybody talking about how this Flashlight is NOT a certain Lumen number, Does NOT make sense to me, the VERY FIRST thing I did when receiving this light was, I waited for dark went outside my house, and lit up the house the way it was in the the Advertised photo, As far as long distance Beam, It's INCREDIBLE, I feel that those who are complaining about the light must NOT be using a an 18650 Battery. I would never use AAA batteries on this flashlight, that to me would only make it a "regular" flashlight, the amount of Power a "single" 18650 battery can produce (example 35000 mAh) generating (25-35 Amp output) So an 18650 battery is FAR GREATER than any AAA battery, as someone who Vapes, Using 18650 batteries for over 2 years and understands the amps and loads the battery can handle is something that most people trying to use these flashlights on AAA Batteries must be educated about. The single focused Beam will light up house behind houses 50+ yards away.` Light up the side of the house, like the advertized photos (Yes)` Focused beam Lighting up trees, backyards, structures, up to 50+ yards (Yes)` Lighting a pitch black basement with not ambient lighting with wide open beam (double Yes)This flashlight is amazing.P.S You will never get a 2500 Lumen flashlight, that is absurd average car headlight is only around 800 lumens. Sure false advertizing, maybe! But try looking in the beam see what happens... it wont be a good ending!! Do some research, this light is very powerful, nevermind the "lumen numbers" irrelevant information, just know its VERY bright, AND can focus a strong single beam a very long distance and to the black sky as well.
