Femme Fatale n. 1. A mysterious and seductive woman who ensnares others with her irresistible charms. 2. An extraordinary woman with dreams and desires. 3. You – A Tonique Woman. I created Tonique Femme Fatale for the woman who lives her life without fear, who experiences each day with a positive attitude and a fresh approach, and embraces life. She loves facing challenges that make her stronger and more confident. The Tonique Femme Fatale believes in herself, and pursues her dreams. She is an individual, and is not afraid to express herself or her opinions. The Tonique Femme Fatale believes in her own powers, and her mission is to capture others with her passion. However, the only danger you face is the challenge of the workout that gives you the body You desire! Tonique Femme Fatale DVD is a continuation of Tonique Born to Move. There is a natural progression between the workouts, and Tonique Femme Fatale introduces new moves which add challenges and make you work harder and with greater body control. Tonique Femme Fatale is divided into Three Phases. Each Phase can be used alone or combined with another, or used in combination with other Tonique workouts. If you are seeking a real challenge, you can do all three Phases as a single workout. There are three additional sections on the DVD. Verve, which is a mini cool down, Sway a.k.a. Suspension Workout and Tonique Express Workout. These are bonuses from me to further motivate you to never stop moving. Tonique Femme Fatale was created to raise your fitness level to true athleticism, and provide an extraordinary workout day!

Great Workout But Needs More Cueing and/or PreMixes
I just started Sylwia's workouts (Femme Fatale and Born To Move) this past week and they challenge me in a much different way than any other workout (which is a good thing!). I am a subscriber to Cathe.com, Daily Burn, and also follow Geri Love, Mike Donavanik, and Shaun T. with Insanity. All are great workout instructors since I like the variety they offer. Tonique certainly works my lower and upper body differently with all of the repetitions and unique moves. That being said though, I am an advanced exerciser and I find that working out with Sylwia is a quite a committment because of the length and intensity of her workouts. For someone just starting out, it may be frustrating because of her lack of cueing and knowing what to expect next. I have found that I even need to take breaks and switch legs since she only works one leg at a time for a very long period. I plan to stick with her though and hope to see results.

This is such a great workout. I can't understand why there's only 5 (now 6) reviews. I'm surprised it's not more popular. I just did it this am (the second workout) and was drenched in sweat. I highly recommend this one!

Another amazing workout from Sylwia!
I own about 300 workout DVDs, and yet Sylwia Weisenberg's Tonique workouts are the ones I reach for over and over again. Not only do they get results, but they are fun to do and challenge me in the best possible way. I own all of the Tonique workouts, and was so happy that Sylwia released both this new one and also her new Tonique Addicted To Movement DVD a few weeks ago.I think that this is the hardest Tonique workout that Sylwia has put out, but that means that there is definite room to challenge yourself and to grow with the workout. It's designed to be a step up in intensity from last year's Tonique Born to Move with Sylwia DVD workout, and it sure is, but don't let that deter you from this workout! While you might think that the price is high for this DVD, it comes with a ton of content, and contains the following segments:* Phase 1 - about 32 minutes long* Phase 2 - over two hours* Phase 3 - 40 minutes* Verve - 7-minute stretch video that's designed to be a mini cool down* Express - 16 minutes - this is a bonus workout that is one of the new Tonique Express Downloads* Sway - 10 minutes - a suspension workout -- Sylwia has her legs up on a window heater to do this workout; I haven't been able to make it work for me since I don't have a space to do itTo do the workouts on Femme Fatale, you will just need a pair of 1- or 2-pound weights and an exercise mat. What I also love about this new workout is how much more arm work there is. You will do some motions like handstands, where you kick your legs up and back behind you, and you'll also use your hand weights in more movement. As with Born to Move, there is a lot more balance work on Femme Fatale as compared to her earlier DVDs. You'll use your hand weights, for instance, to balance on the ground and do leg kicks and lifts on one side. I really like this new component to the Tonique workouts since working on our balance is so important as we age. When I first bought Born to Move, I ended up buying a new pair of two-pound weights that are about three inches longer than my original pair. (I bought these ones at a local store: Reebok Rubber Hex Dumbbell .) Even though these dumbbells are just a few inches longer than the ones I already owned, that additional length helps me do some of the moves a lot better, especially the ones where she has you balance the weights on the floor and kick one leg back.Phase 1 is great for when you want a good, hard workout, but don't have an hour ahead of you. The only slight problem is that there is a small mistake with the editing, so that it ends after you work one leg for a couple of minutes with lunges, without having you work the other leg. I've just been rewinding it and working the other leg (which only adds on an extra two minutes or so) since you otherwise have to head into Phase 2 and do about an hour of that workout before you come back to working the second leg. (It really is a minor editing mistake, and is easy to work around by just repeating the leg you end on or by ending before you get to the lunges; it's not a major problem at all.)Phase 2 is definitely the biggest hurdle, but there are ways to make it more do-able. The tricky part is that in this phase, Sylwia keeps you on one leg for about 35 minutes - from about 31:58-1:21 on the timer -- so you have to commit to doing the workout or to alternating sides every 10 reps or so. (She comes back to the second leg from 1:21-1:55.)Some wonderful women on the Video Fitness forum provided some suggestions for ways to break down Phase 2 into more manageable segments:Option 1:* Phase 2.1 - from 31:00-1:14 and then repeat this a second time, starting on the second leg the second time through* Phase 2.2 - from 1:14-2:01 and then repeat this a second time, starting on the second leg the second time through* Phase 2.3 - from 2:01-3:18 with no repeatingOption 2 (which makes for shorter workouts):* Phase 2.1 - from 31:00-1:20* Phase 2.2 - from 1:20-2:05* Phase 2.3 - from 2:05-2:40Phase 3 goes from 2:01-3:18 on the timer, and so is about 40 minutes long. As with Phase 1, I appreciate having a shorter workout for days when I'm tight on time and don't have a full hour or for days when I want to add on ab work.I know that some women worry about bulking up from doing lots of lunges and squats, but because Sylwia does so many reps and doesn't use heavy weights, I've found that her workouts slim my lower half and create nice muscle. Her focus is to create this lean muscle without bulk, while also creating a nice lift in the booty.I also love how positive and encouraging Sylwia is in her workouts. She uses a voiceover on this new DVD as she does with all of her workouts except Premier, and she truly wants you to succeed. This workout is also filmed in real time since, as she explains, she wants to show you that she doesn't expect you do to anything that she herself can't do. Her positive energy and desire to motivate us are part of why I love doing Tonique. If you're looking to try out her workouts, you can also purchase Express Downloads on her website for about three dollars each. They're a great way to try out the Tonique method to see if you like it.As I said, Sylwia is one of my favorite instructors, and I just love this new workout!

Sylwia the very Best!!
I was hesitant to order this, only because I struggled with Born to Move but I am so glad I took a chance! As all of the Tonique dvds it's very challenging but it also delivers results!I now own all of her dvds, including her other new one,Addicted to Movement, which is also great!I like that there are different options that you can do individually,as some days I am more pressed for time.I know that I'll never have a body as flawless as Sylwia's,but at age 47 with 3 kids,if I can keep up with her dvds,I can accomplish anything!I own a ton of dvds and my lower body I've always struggled with-in my opinion, the Tonique dvds are a must have for any woman.
