It randomly goes off causing panic
Brought this product as an anxious parent, only for when it came time to use it, the product kept going off randomly causing panic and pain after a pretty traumatic birth for both me and my daughter, I then looked to see if I could return the item only to see the return window is a month and as a low income single mother I had to save to buy this product Intially so was brought a couple months before my daughter was due. Upset and angry aren't even the words to describe how I'm feeling right now I'm out £99 and now have to save up yet again to buy a similar product that actually does the job it's supposed to do, also bevause this product is falsely advertised I now know I won't get a good amount of sleep even when she is asleep until I can save enough to buy a replacement but I'd a better brand one that actually does the job.

Worth every penny
This really is worth every penny. Being a father for the third time, fast approaching 50 something, all I could think of leading up to my new born daughters birth was sleepless nights after my first two children were born and waking up or not even going to sleep because I was always worried about them stopping breathing. This technology, as far as I’m aware, did not exist then but not did I wish it did. This pad is sensitive enough to realise the moment your baby is not breathing and the alarm is loud enough to wake you even from the deepest sleep. It is easy to operate and I cannot stress enough how much this device has put our minds at rest. I would add that you need to use proper batteries and not ones from a pound shop as they hardly last the day but the more common batteries that keep going when all others run out, last for days and days.Even though the initial purchase is a lot of money for those of us in normal jobs, please don’t skimp and save the cash because it will be worth every penny in those initial months after baby is born.

Caused more anxiety
I bought this the day my baby was born and have only just been able to use it as it is only for cots, now 6.5 months my babies in his cot and i have used this for the first time tonight, the battery is brand new and set up correctly. The alarm has gone off twice despite my baby breathing absolutely fine! this has caused me so much anxiety since this is my biggest fear yet it was false and caused me unnecessary stress!! Its too late for me to return but it cost me over £100 and is an absolute waste of money.

Good for new parents as an ‘aid’, long term test needed
This is a good piece of equipment for any new parents or parents of a child with breathing difficulties. And I say that in a sense of it being an ‘aid’ rather than a device to rely solely on. The reason being is because the mat detects breathing by the rising and falling of your babies chest so is movement based. And because of this any movement essentially will keep the mat thinking the baby is breathing - but being fair, if your baby is moving it is most likely breathing! Aside from this it’s a good system, the sound alert is loud and the build quality is good. It’s. soft and easy to install and honestly if used as an aid it’s a good device. I wouldn’t fully rely on it for medical conditions but I do like it.Price wise I think it’s about the market average and if you can nab it in a sale it does make it good value. It’s early days so I’m going to test it over a longer period and see how I feel in a few months. I will update with any issues etc.

A bit misleading/confusing...
I just want to say that the description on here and other websites say it works with mattresses up to 140mm but when you open the instruction manual it says do not exceed 70mm. A bit annoying when you have tried to do your research.

Good idea in principle
We ordered this for our 3 month old, unfortunately the alarm kept going off whenever the baby was on this, this did nothing to alleviate my partners worries of side therefore we sent this item back.

Not a product to buy
I bought this for my newborn granddaughter 7lb 8oz, and it does not work if they are asleep and not moving. I had the correct thickness mattress, but it kept going off while she slept even though she was breathing perfectly
