I find I have less issues with gums and infections when using this unit. This was a replacement for one which stopped working after at least 5 years of service...not sure how much longer than 5 years.

The power supply cord buzzed incessantly - even when we unplugged it from the unit and just plugged it into the wall. Ordered a second one in case it was just a random issue but the second had the same problem. Fortunately, I was buying this to replace an older one that had stopped working for a different reason and I just used the old power supply.

Works as described and is easy to use. Has adapters to allow sanitizing of electric toothbrush heads.
