What a wonderful story! Its doggy narration is so powerful because for those of us who share life with dogs (Red Bone Coon Hound, my rescued in a round about way Madison), this how they communicate with those of us who love them. I have come to understand that empathy is the highest emotion. That is seen everywhere back and forth in this story, both in Ga as well as her doggie and human family. Gia doesn't care about her disability because she is surrounded by loving family who don't even see it. This story has helped me not see it either. What makes it so poignant for me is that I am blessed to be a coworker of the mom and her friend who helped her publish this book. It's so true. I read it at work, then downloaded so I could have this to keep for those moments when I am feeling sorry for myself. In those times I will fire this up and let Gia lead by example..........
