Mirandu Pack of 6 Polycarbonate Cast Iron Cleaners & Handle Covers

I had high hopes for this since was less expensive than the Lodge brand pot holders and came with the scrapers. However the first time I used it, the pot holder failed at its primary job: Protecting my hand from heat. I browned hamburger meat in a skillet. I took the skillet off the stove to drain it, but about half way to the sink, the handle burned my hand. The heat transferred so quickly through the silicone that I barely made it to the sink before I dropped the pan. No major burn, but the pot holder was of no use as a pot holder.

I bought an Amazon Basics brand skillet. Rather than purchase the silicone handle cover they sell, I thought I’d get more bang for my buck getting this set with two covers and a bonus of the pot scrapers. The scrapers are fine but the handle covers are extremely difficult to get on! I compared their dimensions to the Amazon one and they’re the same...at least in print. Feel cheated since the covers is what I really bought this set for! Not happy!!I’ve edited my review earning it an extra star! Although not its intended use, I was able to use the smooth scrapper to easily remove candle wax (after it cooled) that spilled on Formica kitchen counter😁!

Holders are protectors and are essential. Cleaners are amazing. My husband got a cast iron skillet and this for Christmas. He has used the cast iron skillet repeatedly since then and the skillet is still spotless, thanks to the cleaners. He forgot the holders once and burned his hand and the oven mitt, see picture. Since then he remembered how essential they are and his hand has not been burnt again and the oven mitt has stayed in current condition. He even put the skillet in the oven a few times and the holder still keeps hand and oven mitt from burning. Awesome product!!

Wanted to like this product. Would have been more convenient to clean than cloth and less risk of catching fire. Product doesn't really work as intended though, I purchased to use with cast iron handles, but they heat up quickly to the point of not being able to handle - only works for a quick grip. Gave 2 stars because of the scrapper they came with, never used but seemed ok. Ended up returning, didn't meet my needs.

After revamping our kitchen we got rid of old pans and the new ones have handles that get hot. This is a nice mixed 6 pack of silicon handle covers (2, 1 red, one black) and pan scrapers and grill scrapers. The pan scrapers are most useful and offer some flexibility when scrubbing. I'd used pan scrapers before-sponges and dishrags aren't for me- but from a different brand and these are more durable and useful. It's a nice set, good value for the money

Thought the silicone handles would help with my cast iron skillets and not have to use pot holders all the time....wrong....they work for about 30 seconds and you better be ready to drop the hot pot!

Good tool to add to your arsenal of ways to clean your cast iron and carbon steel pans without damaging the seasoning you've worked hard to build up. Between this, and a chain mail scrubber, you'll be able to tackle any built up gunk on your cast iron and carbon steel pans that may arise. Definitely recommend. And the silicone pot holders are a godsend for those of us that forget that the pan gets hot when it is cooking food. And you can't beat the price. Highly recommend.

I love the handle covers and scrapers in this set. The handle covers are imperative for anyone using cast iron pans. You can actually hold on to the handles while cooking, which I think is very important. The scrapers have worked very well so far and I have a grill pan they worked great on. I would highly recommend this set.

Only 4 stars because, while I haven't tried the scrapers yet, they seem like they'll melt :( Fingers crossed that they're good!!
