Tahini base
Just as expected. As always the thick paste has to be taken out of the bottle and mixed with the oil which is fairly difficult. I wish they had the recipe for the final tahini you eat on the bottle. I followed from other brands which say to mix equal parts paste and water and add lemon juice, garlic, and salt. I usually add a some olive oil as well to make milder in flavor. The amount of paste is huge, so I usually freeze in small bags for future use. Delicious!

So happy I found this!
So I’ve been making hummus without tahini, or with homemade, which is good but takes longer than I’d like when I’m just whipping up some hummus. This is affordable and just gives the finishing touch I need! Make sure you stir it before use.

Warning! - Don't get the 2 lb jar!
I read the reviews prepared to love this tahini. And I might love it if I could stir it and get it out of the jar.The label advises you stir it, and this is good advice, because what you get is rock hard solids at the bottom of the jar and a bunch of cloudy oil. I'm a vegan, I eat a lot of tahini, I've never encountered anything as separated as this. The problem is, it is unstirrable. The jar is 8 inches high, taller than any spoon I own. I've tried with a skinny spatula, it wasn't strong enough to break up the rock-hard solids. Not only that, the bottom of the jar has a wide 'foot' (see the photo) that is unreachable by any utensil. The only way to stir this stuff would be to empty the jar as best you can and then cut it open to get out the rest, put all of it in a bowl or food processor and stir it.But I had a better idea: Return it! The seller didn't respond, but Amazon came to rescue and issued a refund.

It tastes good.
This was my first experience with tahini. I bought it to try 3 recipes which listed it as an ingredient. The chicken I marinated in the tahini with lemon and spices was exceptionally tender and flavorful; the carrot soup was also very tasty. I tossed the 3rd recipe because the combination of flavors did not work. I will order this brand when I need tahini again. It is very smooth with a nice toasty flavor.

Great ingredient=great food
This is delicious tahini. It makes delicious sauces, and hummus, of course. If you are new to tahini, it comes separated so you will have to stir it... alot.... before you can use it. I use a silicone spatula, which is really helpful in getting the extra thick stuff off the bottom. Also, AFTER mixing it for the first time, I store it in the refrigerator.... but, so it'll mix together again, take it out a couple of hours beforehand. The oil of the sesame seed, or any nut, spoils quite quickly.

Great tasting but too runny ..
This is a good tasting tahini but I find it way too runny, you go through it too quickly. I don't understand how there can NOT be water in it. Too expensive for the amount you actually get.

The best tahini
This is my favorite brand of tahini. It's not too thick, so it can be poured for use as a salad dressing. It's also not bitter like some tahinis. It's low carb and a great source of protein.

It’s Tahini!
This was my first jar of tahini, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. As for taste, I have nothing to compare it to rate it “good” or “bad” so I’ll say it was alright. The jar is easily opened and sealed, durable plastic so you can’t break it by mistake.
