++++Updated Review ++++The company got back to me quickly after this review and sent multiple handwritten notes of apology to me... and surprisingly, an entirely NEW set! I thought that was a kind thing to do when all I had originally hoped for was a replacement for the defective cobbler shaker.They did send the Boston shaker set instead of my original cobbler set, which is wonderful. Honestly, each is a quality set of bar tools overall - the pieces look gorgeous and stand up to repeated use. I have other brands of all of these individual tools since I regularly make cocktails for others and travel sometimes with them to events. I realize some people don't know how to use a cobbler shaker well and can often have an issues getting the tins apart in certain circumstances, but I do feel the original one was truly defective. I still have it and have kept trying to pry it apart to no avail. And when I thought I wasn't going to get a replacement, I bought the Etens version of the same copper cobbler and it has been fine from the start and never stuck. I don't think it's as pretty overall as this set though. I think they just need to have a QC talk with the subcontractor who machines the shakers for them. I've heard other YouTube Mixology influencers/sellers recently talk of having the same machine shop quality issues - specifically with this cobbler shaker issue - and having to return whole lots of them for re-machining. Then again, I might be the only Bare Barrel customer with this particular issue. Either way - I am now a big fan of Bare Barrel - because it's obvious they really care about their customers. I will be buying from them again.I'm adjusting my rating up substantially because of the EXCELLENT customer service of this company. And also the beauty of the set as a whole, as well as the seamless ease of use of the Boston version of this shaker.THANK YOU, Bare Barrel!+++++++++++++The copper finish on this set is gorgeous and it's one of the better stands where items don't fall off... but I have been very disappointed with the shaker. When I first got the set I noticed the top half of the shaker really had a hard time connecting with the base. It didn't sit correctly and I had to use force to hold it together at all - like it was a material defect. When I actually mixed a drink with it I did have to really carefully hold it on because as soon as I wasn't holding the pieces tightly together they just fell apart. I was willing to live with that because I love the beauty of the whole set, but today I went to strain a drink I made and the top lid for the strainer portion is just stuck. Permanently. I can see it is not sitting on straight. I have tried everything to unscrew it or loosen it: tried hot water, tried dawn dishwashing liquid, vegetable oil... eventually banging on the counter. Nothing is loosening this defectively seated strainer top. That, paired with the poor fit on the main sections of the shaker just really renders this beautifully looking shaker useless for me.Besides that, I would add as a minor thing: I'd rather have a jigger with the measurements marked inside. This one doesn't have partial measurements inside or outside... so I had to buy a separate jigger because I have a lot of fractional oz ingredients in my cocktails.All that said, it's a gorgeous set. Just not functional for me with the shaker unusable. I tried to contact the seller before posting to see if they could send me a working shaker... but Amazon help keeps pushing me to return the whole thing which is a hassle.

This bartender set is a life saver! It has all the tools I needed to make our favorite cocktails. I really love the higj quality copper finish. Anyone looking for a bartender set, should consider this. You won't regret it.
