This mount is sturdy. That said, it’s heavy! This is my first motorized mount, but I think it moves smoothly and quickly.Assembly is easy; not much more than the standard mount. Given it’s mounted on the patio, the mount is perpendicular to the rafters, so I needed rafter tie-to-rafter tie support (none in desired location). That was the most difficult part.Assembly alone took about 30 minutes (I’m very good at this stuff), but I needed help with attaching the tv to the mount (which took all of 5 minutes with a friend).Looks great. Great value for the price. I recommend and would buy again.Review and pics after five days of use. Will try to update on longevity later.

This is working out perfectly for us. It's installed on a covered balcony in our apartment where we have a 50 inch tv mounted. It's has been used frequently and working as expected. Great value. The installation was not hard but it did take some time and does require a second person. It's heavy so proper installation is important. Make sure you are mounting it correctly so it is secure.

I used this for the family room where we all hangout to relax. It is a great addition, as we can easily (with the push of a button) lift and lower the tv when needed.Installation was very straight forward and holds the tv sturdy while in motion.

Mount works well but the only issue was the lag bolts provided were too short so I had to provide my own. Would buy this mount again.

Product is really solid. Frame and pivot mechanism as well as the motor and piston are all built well and should hold up long term. Once bolted in place I have no doubt this sucker is going to stay exactly where I put it.A really solid space saver, I was able to mount the TV exactly where I wanted it in front of the bed without resorting to additional furniture or a fixed mount. Hitting the remote and having it retract flat against the ceiling is just ridiculously clean… and dare I say, cool? It also means I don’t have to manually pivot the TV into place or worry about blocking my bedroom windows. Or hitting my head if it was on a fixed mount.You have to be comfortable mounting heavy hardware to your ceiling, and minor to moderate DIY. In my install this involved removing 36x36” patch of ceiling drywall, cutting and adding 2x4 bracing between the ceiling I-beams, and running electrical up to the ceiling mount.If you’re not comfortable with the former, this will have to be installed by a professional.All and all, I love this thing.Only ridiculously minor complaint is that it’s not app-enabled, so I can’t say “Hey Google, bring down the TV.”

Pay attention to what you will mount it to. Easy install and just hang the tv on pin. Single installer, me. Watch cable routing for no pinch points. Working great for 4 months now.

I bought this TV mount last year and put it under my outdoor pergola. It was easy to install and works good. However, I didn’t use it that much over the winter when it was cold outside and because of the way it stores the TV with the screen facing down; the screen detached from my TV. This also causes the TV to be way away from the wall when in the down position. I wish it folded the other way….with the TV screen facing up and that way when it was down the TV would be against the wall.
