We got as an extension for the original what came with the fan. Because ours two pieces we hold on the wall where it goes looking inside to mark the wall. Did the same with the other piece . Take off , drill the wall prepare with the right screw what will let you hang up . Flexible enough to open it for the time to cover and find the screws behind

No you need to call the customer service to get a special one. They are really nice

No, it is not long enough for a 9 foot ceiling. Your counter is probably 3 feet high. The Fotile hood is at most 32 inches high, per instructions. And this chimney is 29 inches high, maximum. Add it up, it comes to 97 inches, or 8 feet 1 inch. You would need to buy another one, or install a soffit or some other solution.
