FTCE Biology 6-12 Teacher Certification Exam Study Guide 2018-2019: FTCE (002) Exam Prep and Practice Test Questions Paperback – January 23, 2018

This test covers A LOT of information - this book has lots of great information, it covers almost all of the content that I saw on the FTCE. The test did have a handful of questions that were not in the book but they were Florida specific. There is no way one book could have all of the potential content on the test.The practice tests and the multiple choice throughout this book were very similar in structure and difficulty to the actual test.I passed the test my fist try because of this book! I would absolutely recommend it.

The text in each section is much broader than the practice questions for that particular section.I just completed the first two sections: Nature of Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology. The second section was particularly bad about asking practice questions that were not referenced within the text I had just read.For example, check out the 'Look Inside' feature, scroll down to pages 92 and 93. Question #62 on page 93 is never discussed within the referenced section. Neither is it discussed prior to or after the question is asked. This is only one of several questions like this. However, there have also been several other questions that are quite relevant.Hopefully the remainder of the text will have practice questions consistent with the text section.

Honestly, this book is an excellent source for prospective science teachers in the state of Florida. Not only does it prepare you for your Biology 6-12 subject area exam, it takes complex topics related to biology & chemistry and really simplifies them to a more intuitive state.Disclaimer: This book does assume that you have SOME background and experience in Biology. I would NOT use this as my only resource if I didn’t have some experience with Biology. It isn’t meant to be an all-encompassing biology source. More-so, a source to prepare those who are somewhat familiar with biology for the subject exam.Nonetheless, an excellent source and all-around great purchase.

Awesome study guide. The reviews of each section are very helpful to summarize concepts that might be in your head..... but almost forgotten. I love the sample test questions and their detailed explanation of why each answer is correct or not. This book is a lifesaver for me.

Thank you for the awesome study guide...I have a masters degree in biochemistry and molecular biology but it has been a few years since I looked at some of this general biology information. I found the review of ecology and taxonomy especially helpful. I also liked the practice tests and the explanations that came along with them. Thank you!! Worth every penny!

I took the test today I fail and honestly alot of topic where not cover.. i am so lost in where to study

This is an excellent overview of the topics covered in the FTCE Biology 6-12 test. I was able to pass the exam on my first try after using this book for about a month prior!
