Bocas: a novel (Bocas Trilogy)
A**L
Buy the whole trilogy because after Bocas you will want to keep reading.
I wish I had read these slower but I was hooked after Bocas and tore through all three. They are fun - full of adventure, surf, friendship, sex, beautiful places, and coffee...my favorite things. The protagonist George is kind, brave, and carries himself lightly through his travails. I hope the author writes more, I enjoy his humor and his style.

Quick
If you frequent to Costa Rica, Panama etc it’s something you can relate to. Quick read but entertaining. I’ll read the trilogy

Great trilogy
I came across the trilogy on line and ordered it (it kept coming across my feed). I literally read them all while in 3 days. It’s was an amazing trilogy .I’ve recommended it to several coworkers. Lots of connections in all 3 books and I appreciate the authors style of writing.

Strong cast of characters, great read!
Ok, so I have to admit, Bocas was a great read, start to finish. Fantastic character development and a dialogue style that while at first took some getting used to, once I got into it not only did it work but it felt right. This ride through a Panamanian island called Bocas was fresh and engaging. The characters were sharp and real and the story flowed really well, even through the end where it could have come off as contrived, the author stuck the landing. Well done and a must read! I look forward to Georgie's next adventure.

SO GOOD!
Where do I even start... I guess with the fact that I have a new author to add to my favorites list. This book is so good, right up my ally. Travel, the ocean, sex, drugs, love, adventure. A little bit of everything. I just finished the second book Bronte & it was just as good, just makes me excited to get Bolinas, but sad that it’s almost over. I wasn’t sure which book to write the review for since I loved them both, but I figured if you have started the trilogy the other two won’t need the reviews to get you to buy them. Read this book. You’ll love it.

Fun Read
Obviously meant for the younger, but some of us like to feel 25 again and Bocas was the ticket. Not sure I’ll read the 2nd Bocas, but may give this a re-read someday. Also, wanting to visit Bocas del Toros!

I really enjoyed this book
I really enjoyed this book. The first-person narrative was a bit tough to follow for the first few pages, then the flow really clicked from there. Through the voice of the main character, George, the story presents a mix of hilarity, suspense, tragedy and resilience. Notably, I found myself laughing out loud several times while reading it on my daily BART commute (which drew some strange looks from my fellow passengers). I was bummed when the book came to an end -- I want to see where George’s life takes him next -- and I miss PJ's accent. I look forward to additional works from this author.

One to add to your reading list.
Excellent read, kept me engaged and was written in a way that I could visualise every scene. Looking forward to the authors next novel.
