This is a very cute book. Much bigger than I thought it would be. Very reasonable in price. The music box attached makes it even cuter.

The media could not be loaded. Super cute book. The pages are large and the pop-ups are terrific. I bought this one used so I had a little dent in the cover but the pop-ups were fine. This book has some of the best pop-ups I've seen of any books in a long time! It is a 10 page book with 5 short stories in it that are two pages each. (By Page I'm meaning a two page spread, not just one side, as the pop-ups spread between both pages for one pop-up. ) In each story Dora and her monkey friend Boots jumps into a fairytale book to rescue someone/something in the story and they invite you to come along for the journey. The reading of the book has one normal paragraph on each page and then the story book pages that you read the story she's in off of. (They've written those words on a little drawing of a book) Also there are lyrics to Dora's travelling song with a slight variation in the words for the particular story she's in. (Five different lyrics sets). You can push a button on the page and it'll play the tune for you to sing along! "Come on, Vamonos, Everybody Let's go!" etc. The tune is really cute. Unlike a lot of these musical books, this one has a way to change the battery when the sound dies! Yay! My kid (age 22 months) loves this and presses the button over and over again so I imagine we'll be using that but so far the battery has shown no signs of wearing out after months of continued use. The song is a cute catchy one and you can even change the lyrics to sing to your toddler in a way that would suit any outing you need to take them on to get them excited about going lol... I've tried, it works haha! The book says it's been safety tested for age 18 months plus, which may be true but an 18 month old would need to be supervised with it as they could easily tear the pop-ups out. My daughter did tear one but in a way that was easy to fix fortunately. It is a very large size book and the cover is a bit puffy. I added a photograph beside a regular sized my little pony for size comparison (sorry it's uploading sideways!) and another of the pop-up, as well as a video of it playing music. *Note the video only a bit of the song, it's longer than that*
