This cutie just didn't want to let Mom go. He'd grab a bit of her tail in his mouth, and as she moved away in her grazing, he would let the hair slide through his mouth, even stretching out his neck to hang onto the very tips before they fell out of his mouth. Then he would hurry to catch up with her and repeat the process. These are wild horses in one of the herds living in the South Steen mountains of southern Oregon.
