Women's double wide sneaker-you may want to order 1 size up
I ordered a pair for myself last year, perfect fit! Tried them on my sisters double wide sneakers- they wouldn't fit. I ordered one size up for my sisters sneakers-they fit perfectly! Thanks !

Great traction.
Great traction. Can be a little difficult to position once on boot, but they definitely keep you from slipping on the ice.

Best Yaktrax yet
I've been using Yaktrax since 2015. Same pair - seven seasons running and they've worked great and are still in amazing shape for how much wear they get. My wife recently was walking our husky mix in the snow and ice while I was out of town and got pulled off her feet. I told her she should use Yaktrax and ordered her a set. These newer ones with the squared off chains instead of springs are so much better and seem completely bomb proof that I ordered a new pair for myself as well.If you get ice where you live and need to walk on it, I would consider these a must have item and this is the exact model I would recommend - best performance and most durable I've ever seen.

Even Better Than the Old Yaktrax
These are superior to the old style. My old Yaktrax had the springs laying sideways across the bottom of the shoes with the strips of rubber running through the center of them, the strips of rubber being of one piece with the rubber of the upper portion that wraps up around the heel and toe.On the old ones, the springs would wear rapidly and develop sharp edges that would cut through the rubber and render them out of service. This new style has all metal chains running across the bottom of the shoe while the rubber wraps up on the heel and toe to keep them secure. They give me great traction and have held up very well so far.Note: I am only size 7.5 but had to size up to large as the rubber is so tight on the mediums that they pulled my forefeet up and bent them back so harshly as to make them miserable on my feet and I could not bear to wear them at all!The large size still grabs and secures nicely without fighting to get them on, too!

Will purchase again
I went with this model instead of the Walk or Diamond because I figured it would provide more traction than the Walk and last longer than the Diamond. I can't say for sure if either is true as I haven't owned the others, yet, but the reviews I read ahead of purchase lead me to believe that. I have been pleased with the performance and can't believe I've spent 5 years walking dogs in WI winters without something like these. They work great on the slippery-as-ice hard packed snow on roads and sidewalks, and on rough ice. They'll slip on the hard, smooth ice but definitely provide more friction than without. My biggest complaint is that I have observed quite a bit of wear on the two chain links making up the back point of the heal triangle. This isn't super surprising considering my walks often take me over a mixture of snow, ice, and dry pavement or blacktop. I'm sure that would happen with any product of this sort. Perhaps there is a design solution that will help make these last longer than a season for people in my situation. To be clear, they haven't broken apart yet, but I feel like I need to have a spare set handy before next winter hits. Due to the price point, and the amount of safety they add to my winter walks, I'm not necessarily upset about that.

Had for a short time. In short recommend
My experience so far has been good. Took them on a winter camping trip and used daily for work. There was all kinds of terrain that had a mix of solid ice, slush and snow. These worked well and I did a lot of hiking up and down hills/mountains. They stayed on without shifting.I guess the only downfall I would say is the chains work from keeping you slipping (obviously) however I walked over solid ice, I didn’t slip however when I was walking sometimes you could kinda feel them slide a tad. So my solution is maybe add more of an edge to the chains for more traction to make them better than they are now.

No more “gravity checks” on snow and ice!
Tired of checking to see if gravity is still working? Yeah, me too. Living in the arctic, falling several times during winter and getting hurt (surgery required hurt)…. well… i bought these…so far, so good! No more falling!Note: do not wear on smooth surfaces inside stores (smooth concrete, marble, tile, etc).., you will slip and slide and maybe fall! Use extra caution and care!Do not wear inside your home on your nice floors, these will scratch your flooring. These are meant for outdoor use on snow and ice.

A little hard to put on, but overall great.
It takes me a minute to put them on, but as someone who lives in Montana, they're quite useful.

Works really well. Wore them on my sneakers all winter.
Bought a pair for my mum and a pair for me. Well the sizing is a bit small and I exchanged the small for an XL. Other than that they work really well. The town I am in right now doesn't plow the streets so there was about 4 inches of compacted ice on all of the roads. You could practically skate on it if it weren't for the embedded gravel. But I digress. These chains work great on my sneakers and while I had a few slippy moments they kept me from wiping out all winter. And they didn't break!

Only OK
They do not have anywhere near the grip on ice that we expected. Slipped all the way down our gentle slopping sidewalk. I guess they are for extra traction in only a mix of snow and slush. They do very little on ice in 10 below freezing.

A must buy
Saved my back. Wish they lasted longer then one season.

Best for casual/everyday use
I love Yaktrax! I wear the running spikes for winter trail running and have a pair of the chains for walking when I don't want to worry about dulling or breaking spikes on pavement or damaging surfaces with the spikes. These are quick and easy to put on and take off and I've never had a problem with them falling off. Also, they fit on a wider variety of footwear than the running-specific spikes. I recently bought a pair of chains for my 74 year-old father who makes multiple daily trips up a hill to the barn on his farm. He's tried several traction products over the years and says these are the best he's had.
