I bought all three mushrooms. I couldn’t decide between the colors. (Red cap, dark brown cap, and natural hard wood lighter cap) They are all so cute in their different way. I figure we would utilize them all. with 6 kids in the house they are bound to want to crack a Nut at the same time. And I was correct! The youngest (two years old) needs a little help with the final twisting that cracks the shell but all the other children can safely and easily crack a Nut on their own. :) the price is excellent (around $8 - $9) as well as the quality. I definitely recommend these cute little nutcrackers!

My parents own a wooden nut cracker which I would always use to crack nuts in the fall. Once I got married and had my own house, I decided to look for one to give me a sense of autumn cheer and to display with a wide variety of nuts: hazelnuts, walnuts, macademia nuts, pecans, etc. Settling upon this nut cracker, I went ahead and ordered this model rather than any other one (a little wary of other nut crackers with a similar design but which had reviews stating that the threads were weak, broke quickly, etc.).I've used this for about a month, and I'm happy to state that it looks like it will last me as long as the nutcracker I grew up with (which is still going strong)! I love the two-tone design, and it cracks every nut I've thrown its way--even pecans and tricky macademia nuts. I love it. Buying another one for my aunt.

awesome little product. we discovered a walnut tree on our property, and we harvested a ton this fall. but, our standard seafood cracker didn't do the job well on the nuts. so, i bought this cute little mushroom, and it works fantastic on the walnuts! we just line up the seams with the impinging screw, twist to crack the nut, then reposition and repeat until the nut meat comes right out. great for cracking the shell without crushing the nut meat. the screw thread nearest the bottom is wearing away a little, due to the fact that's where the screw contacts the shell, but that does not affect the performance of the unit. easy to use, the cap of the mushroom fits int he palm of one hand while the other hand cradles the body. my 8-yo daughter has a blast using this herself. cute, decorative, and functional! love this.

This nutcracker looks good. It probably looks better than the picture. It's made with good quality wood, and finished well.It's not especially fast. You won't crack 1,000 nuts an hour with it.But it's easy to use and safe, so it's a great choice for kids. It's also kind of fun.

Beautiful nut cracker! This is going on my list of items to give to people when I need a creative gift. Would definitely buy again. I bought it for my daughter and she loves it and can easily crack nuts with it. It's larger than I expected and fits even bigger pecan nuts. Wonderful product.

I finally found t,his nutcracker to replace the similar one I'd had for years in the UK.....THE best nutcracker ever invented, it broke my heart when I couldn't find 'old faithful'!! This works the exact same way as my first one did except I'm happyto leave it sitting with my other ornaments because it looks so cute!!!

Simple, clean design, easy for older hands to operate. Used it for a couple months for all types of nuts in the shell, and it worked with all we tried. Did not try a Brazil nut, so can't vouch for that. Would buy again.

this nut cracker is so neat. I did make one modification tho. I like to crack the nut from top to bottom, and the flat part of the screw didn't like this cracker do work that way. so I took out the screw and drilled a 5/16 hole about a 1/4 deep in it. it works great now.

So fun, cute, and easy to use! All of my kids love to crack open nuts with this adorable mushroom. If your kid can turn a knob, (s)he can crack open her own nuts.

Looking nice- but broke the first day!

The first European Wood nut cracker I purchased was defective but Stone Creek Trading were happy to replace it. The new one works fabulously.
