Swiss Luxx Low Wattage Teppanyaki Grill 1800W

I previously had a smaller version of this Teppanyaki and everything was ok apart from it being on the small side, hence this purchase in August 2019. We have had a Pandemic and that coupled with some poor weather resulted in only using it about half a dozen times whilst away in our caravan. However despite its little use it has buckled and twisted so badly that only 3 of its 4 feet touch the table top and it's so badly bowed that excess fat drips off both ends onto the table instead of going down the central hole into the dedicated tray. I contacted Purely Outdoors who for some unknown reason said that I should contact Cadac, who in turn said that it was not their product so i went back to Purely Outdoors who then said they had made an error sending me to Cadac and in any case the product was now out of warranty. The hotplate is made of sheet steel and the excessive heat has caused it to buckle. It could be this is the problem or perhaps the thermostat has failed? Either way it's not up to the job and Purely Outdoors are most definitely lacking in PR so I would not recommend them or this product

What ordered was a 1800 watt rectangular grill, what I got was a smaller square 1500 watt grill. The pins on the temperature regulator were crooked so I had to straighten them to be able to connect it after several attempts, then it kept tripping the electric, when I finally got it working it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to cook 4 rashers of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 eggs, some mushrooms and fried bread. Next time I get the chance to treat myself to a cooked breakfast I will return to my trusty frying pan which cost less, is smaller and a lot quicker.

Really like this grill. It was so easy to cook a full English breakfast on while outdoor camping. So easy to clean too. I would prefer to use this at home rather than having different pots and pans. Look forward to using to try chicken, steak and burgers on.

The power source needs to be pushed properly so it will supply the energy needed to heat up the pan. A bit difficult to push and has to be really careful not to bend the wires. Otherwise, functioning good.

Best bit of caravan kit ever (apart from the caravan its self). Cooks bacon, chops chicken breasts and steak. I foil the bottom of a baking tray weight it down will anything heavyish and bobs ur uncle. Also i doddle to clean just wipe it with a paper towel and pop it away.

Heats up very fast and cook's fast too bought for caravan going to buy one for home

The appliance looks good, note that the website said 1500 watt, the appliance is 1800 watt. Du to the short time from delivery to request for review, have not had the opportunity to actually use. However I believe it will serve our requirements.
