Vickers Wellington was the most important British bomber of the initial war period. Twin-engined aircraft was principally involved in day operations until late 1943 when it was relegated to maritime support roles. Model comes with a magazine. Model packed in blister.

Quality is variable – this one was disappointing
Judging from the other reviews here it would seem the quality of these models is extremely variable. I have several others, and all have been pretty good, but this one was very disappointing because it was so badly assembled. The wings actually drooped downwards; the tailplane was wonky, so that when you look at it head-on while it's on its mount, it looks ridiculous. The right hand engine cowling has been forced into the wrong position and is badly misaligned; the tailwheel panel is coming away and is hanging down. When done properly, these are nice little models that are good value. I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of sending it back, but my advice would be that if you do happen to get one as bad as this, return it – you'll probably get a better one.

Great item
Great model, used as a cake topper on a cake made like a runway for my friend's Dad's 95th birthday. He flew Wellington bombers in the war.
