When they claim "35 Lb Rated"---believe it! I have 3 or 4 different "gun" magnets. These are the strongest I have used and much too strong for use as refrigerator magnets--they are just too strong to easily remove. Because of their small size, consider hanging a loaded, medium or large handgun vertically from the top of its slide. Have not tried it, but suspect hanging a loaded 1911MA on the side of the slide will result it it rotating to "butt down" position. Also, be careful when handling both simultaneously to avoid allowing them to snap together and causing a blood blister on your hand.....good luck! The surface has small "chevrons", that seem to be protective to the handgun finish.

Better than other gun magnets I’ve used, should hold almost any handgun with just one magnet. The coating is permanent, meaning it won’t come off of the magnet with the rubber covering with a sticky mess of double sided tape that doesn’t stay on the magnet When you take your gun off. Also, strong enough to hold a gun, but you don’t gave to fight like crazy if 2 magnets would happen to get stuck together, so, more than strong enough for their intended purpose, but not so strong that you end up pulling your hair out trying to unattach them from a gun safe or another magnet.

Very small. Held onto my Beretta under the dash unless I hit a bump. In guessing you get 2 magnets because you'll us both even on a sub compact.

So I was pleasantly surprised by the gun magnets. These things are extremely strong, so strong that if you accidentally get them stuck together, it stinks getting them back apart. so a little advice do not get them stuck together. If you are looking for a magnet that really is strong enough to hold a shotgun or my AR upper these will work great. Another bonus is it comes with two different mounting screws eight in total, and you only need one screw per magnet. the magnets also come with 3M adhesive on the back that you could use or use nothing as they are double sided magnetic. Really, in my opinion, the best value for sure in gun magnets. I will be buying more!

Very handy. Smaller than i imagined, but work. Took away a star bcz one gun doesnt stay in magnet at times, & i have found fallen /dropped. It's a heavier handgun tho.

The magnets seemed strong, but I returned this item. Because I didn't feel that the 2 sided tape would hold my weapon in place.

grips my CC pistols securely. Wouldn't recommend for a full size, I would recommend a larger magnet surface. Doesn't create an eyesore though. Be prepared to drill a hole in your cheep plastic interior for a secure mount.
