Q: Does it smoke up the house?

I've had about six months and use about twice weekly and never had any smoke. Haven't had odor, either, and I do fish.

Q: Can wet-breaded/coated items ( i.e. using egg whites, flour, etc ) be successfully cooked in this appliance, or only fries and other uncoated foods?

I saw on the ShopQ site coated chicken breasts cooked. Check out their web site and look at the demo for this item. You will get a lot of ideas.

The odor is about good cooking, if you know how to cook. Hope this helps.
