Arcus BUGrip GTX can withstand tough weather thanks to the waterproof GORE-TEX Invisible membrane. The membrane is integrated with the upper material, making it even softer and more comfortable than a traditional membrane bootie construction. This shoe is for the user that wants to have extra cushioning, whether it might be for longer runs, recovery runs or when running with a backpack. To enhance the comfort and great running feeling it has a rocker midsole to reduce pressure on the forefoot and heel and aid the momentum forward - giving a smooth stride. The midsole is made of compression molded EVA which enables a natural dual density where the forefoot has a higher density - giving a more responsive toe-off. This gives great comfort on longer runs and yet provides responsiveness and a great running feeling. The BUGrip outsole has thirteen dynamic studs that provide reliable traction on all winter surfaces.

Comfortable and anti slip
These shoes are light and comfortable. Walked on ice and didn’t slip. Very stable. Expensive but better than falling down. Definitely recommend them.

Must-Have Winter Running Shoe
I absolutely love these shoes. They keep my feet warm and dry, but far more importantly, the traction is UNREAL. I am so confident running through snow and even hitting solid ice in these. With the ice spikes I just make sure to land a little more forcefully than usual on ice, and I do not slide at all. Running on sidewalks and trails that are partially cleared, I actually aim for the sections still covered in snow and ice because these shoes are so fun on surfaces I used to avoid at all costs. I don’t even slip going up and down snowy hills — again, I just make sure to dig those spikes and lugs in on each footfall. If you’re running in a cold climate, these are an absolute must!

I really wanted to love these studded running shoes
I love the color (red), and the rugged style. The length and width are perfect- true to the averages, and the comfort is the best. I have hip pain. When I tried these on I felt pain relief almost immediately. The bad: they do not do as they are marketed to do; that is prevent slipping on ice. They just don't grab. I cannot walk on ice with confidence that I will not slip and fall. That said, I am returning these and purchasing the same shoe but without the studs. I got one pair, and just ordered another similar style. These shoes are worth every penny in comfort.

Not waterproof
I decided to treat myself to these shoes so I’ll be able to run the trails all winter with confidence and in comfort. The brand gets great reviews and I’ll have to update this once it snows and I’m able to use them. Until then, these shoes fit perfectly and felt very comfortable when I tried them on. I can’t wait for the snow! Bring it on!EDIT: Unfortunately my expensive goretex shoes are not waterproof. Not a great experience for my first pricey shoes. I took these on two snowy trail runs and my toes got wet, just like they do in regular trail shoes. Contacted the company and they advised me to try their waterproofing spray. Really? I can’t recommend these. If you want the spiked soles buy the non-goretex and save some money to buy waterproofing spray.

Amazing Icebugs
Love the Icebugs which handle the snow & ice really well when running in Colorado. They are waterproof, so my feet stay nice & dry. The shoes are very light so you feel like you’re flying through the snow. I highly recommend !!!

Perfect for Winter running
These are absolutely perfect for my winter runs in Alaska. My feet stay warm and the spikes keep me from being pulled down by my dog! Nice traction!

Tight in the toe box
I bought my usual size, (Size 9) which was the only size selling at $180 (so I was thrilled). They are short and tight in the toe box. I think Im going to have to return them for a half size bigger. Unfortunately, all the other sizes are 30 dollars more.
