I wish the arm that swings down was a little bit longer. When i have my phone turned length wise(which i prefer) my iphone 12 covers the bottom 1/2 in. of my rear view mirror. I don't like using my phone in landscape mode which would fix this issue. I also did not like the two sided holder, so I swapped it out for a holder that had a bottom bracket to hold the phone more securely. It does hold attach to the mirror very securely which is why i ended up keeping it and is very sturdy once attached.

I gave this Mount a 3 Star rating because it was not deep enough to fit over a modern multipurpose rearview mirror. My mirror is curved at the Center, about 2.5 inches. Secondly, I wanted it to fit over a 4 inch high Multimedia Android CarPlay monitor. Sorry, I was out of luck! If you have a PLAIN rearview mirror (do they still make those anymore) this will work well.

Very easy install. Could be a little more sturdy but not bad.

I wanted to attach a Garmin Drive 52 to the holder but the ball and socket, the ball size is too small. So I had to add some wire to stabilize everything.

I wanted a phone holder for my car that would sit at eye level. My last one attached to my vent and really curtailed the air conditioner air flow. Since I have a Prius and no vents in the back you want all your vents to be functional.This holder attached to my rear view mirror fine but it does take a bit of adjusting to make sure your phone doesn't start to tilt face down. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max so it is a slightly heavier device. I tightened up the nut that holds the cradle for the phone and its doing the job.Your mirror will move a bit due to the extra weight when hitting pot holes, etc.The device is lightweight so we will see how durable it is soon.I do like the placement from the mirror - easier to see than on the vent like I had before.

Good holding and easy to use

I've had this dock for under two weeks. During the little time I got to use it, I enjoyed what I got; but the problems quickly started showing.First, the phone cradle stopped being easy to operate. By that, I mean the two buttons you press to open the cradle stopped retracting; heck, they barely pushed in anymore. On the same note, where the phone sits is a button to free the cradle back to the original position, and that button stopped working as well.Second, the four clamps that hold on to the mirror are adjustable by little grooves. The "idea" is that you set the clamp in the best position, then it should stay put. Well, three of the four adjusting slides just don't hold their place, and with the weight of the phone, the phone will cause it to slide around and not hold place.Third, the pivot point for the cradle to allow you to rotate the orientation of the phone is able to be loosened and tightened so you can keep the phone in place. Whenever I attempt to put the phone in the cradle, the adjuster slips loose and causes the cradle to fall limp, requiring me to tighten it again, which is an irritant.To specify, I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra with a slim profile OtterBox case. Even with the case, my phone still fits, good and snug. But, through the small amount of time I had this dock, and I've only used it going to and from work, the dock has broken.I am very disappointed in this product, and will definitely not recommend this to anyone.
