It seems to be true to size but I sized up. It’s not a stretchy fabric because it’s a 100% cotton. If you like more of a loose fit then definitely size up. Seemed to not shrink in the washer and dryer. Definitely follow the instructions of how to wash it. This night gown is a must buy for sure!

I was pleasantly surprised when my gown arrived. It has such beautiful details, and edged in a cotton lace. It definitely has a Victorian vibe, which I love. After washing and drying on low, it came pretty well, with the typical cotton slight wrinkling. This doesn't bother me, but if you prefer, a quick ironing will bring it back to its original beauty. I liked it so much, I'm awaiting delivery on 2 more sets in different patterns. I also purchased the matching robe to this gown. I definitely recommend this to anyone searching for beautiful, Victorian inspired sleepwear.

Very pretty sweet nightgown but I do wish it was softer cotton. Shrinkage was normal as expected and I bought XL even though my normal size is L. It fits nicely and doesn't ballon out looking unflattering however I did find the ribbon detail across the top of chest to be a tad tight after washing and drying on delicate. I would recommend sizing one up if you plan to machine wash and dry.

Do not be surprised to wake up in Austin’s nighttime England wearing this cotton, flowery, sleeping gown. So flattering and soft. Feminine in a time when being so is not the norm. I am 5’11” 136, and an XL is perfect for someone with a long, thin frame, which is extremely difficult to fit. Mr. Dashwood becomes an apple ripe for picking.

The gowns are beautiful and LONG enough. Delivery is fast and they come beautifully packaged too.

Perfect Fit, but comes close to being slightly too wide in the shoulders, but then again, am far from a standard fit person... It is reasonably light weight and Lost sleeves, very good for Late Spring, Early Fall, or when it is COOL but not too HOT!. I Recommend!

So pretty and soft. Does need ironing after wash.

I love the gown, but it is to big

It can be very hard to find affordable pure cotton nightdresses these days especially if you are tallish - 5'9" - totally love this version.Comes to mid-calf on me. The sleeves are three-quarter on me but I have long arms.Wasn't sure which size to pick as there is no guidance or correlation with bust measurements, chose Medium and it fits my 38" chest fine. The smocked front means there is a generous amount of fabric. Nice design, good quality fabric, well stitched and assembled (even if in China). Very comfy - just one tiny niggle with the elasticated sleeves digging in a bit and leaving marks on my arms, but otherwise plenty of wriggle room.The gauze bag was a nice touch and as others have said, would mean this could be gifted. Delivery was super quick (thank you Prime) and the packaging was fine for such a lightweight item. Will be buying again. Or at least, my husband will!

I love this range of nightwear, I now have 4. Long sleeved and 3 short. They are well cut with armholes that don't cut when you turn over in bed and enough gathers or smocking across the bust so you don't feel strangled. They are a good length with frills so if you are shorter 1 layer can be cut off with no detriment to the look. Being cotton they are cool and comfortable and not thin so you are not caught out going to the door and frightening the postman. Lovely range, good pricing and very attractive if Victorian is your choice.

Really really lovely garment. Well made and has lovely details like the narrow ribbon that runs round the neckline actually does run all the way round and can be tied at the front rather than being fixed with a short pretend bow sewn on at the front like cheaper versions. Cotton is thicker than normal nightie material too so is warm enough for a winter night. I'll be buying styles and might even get another one of these.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this night gown. Bring back the feminine and modest night gowns! This lovely white gown is beautifully made, modest, comfortable, and oh-so-feminine. It is so pretty and a joy to wear. Husband loves it and says it is so much prettier than flimsy and skimpy nylon things. I couldn't agree more. It's just gorgeous. I have already purchased another gown in a different style. Love that one, too!

I read that some people found them slightly small so I ordered larger than I might have.I’m usually a U.K. 18. I ordered an XXXLI would probably have been fine with a smaller size as it happens but it looks super on. I’m 5ft9 and it’s a nice length on me.It’s a good quality (light weight) cotton and seems really well made.Lovely Victorian vintage look to it which suits me as I’m a steampunk.Happier with it than I expected and will get more without doubt.Being light weight and white there is a “very” slight seethrough quality though (nipples show through a bit), But that’s true of most white fabric. This is why I also got the dressing gown ;)
