Perfect for my needs!
I pretty much never write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this product, as I had very specific requirements, and this device met them perfectly, and saved me buying an expensive new TV too!The box itself is impressive, with a solid metal case and nice tactile buttons. It certainly doesn't feel cheap. Upon setting up, a clear message box appears in the bottom left corner of your screen, indicating input and output resolutions. Although if you're playing a game where the resolution changes a lot, this will keep reappearing and will last a few seconds at a time. A minor gripe, but could get annoying.I wanted to swap out my aging 22 inch TV in my office/game room for a nice 32 inch screen, for more immersive gaming and some background TV. My wife's 32 inch monitor was gathering dust now that she's no longer working from home that often, so I thought I'd give it a new home instead of spending a lot of money on a new TV that would struggle to match the perfect picture and resolution of this monitor. The issue was that it doesn't have speakers, and only one HDMI port that expects resolutions no higher than 1080p. Bad news if like me you have a load of retro game consoles, including a PS2 with an HDMI adapter by Kaico that outputs at no more than 576p.Enter the LINKFOR! The separate audio-out splitter meant that I could make use of a separate speaker I had lying around, plus it handles the lower resolutions from both the HDMI and SCART inputs beautifully. The picture is clear, crisp and with no lag.I'm not an expert on video quality, so maybe there are better options out there, who knows, but to my eyes this is perfect. I would suggest that maybe some of the reviewers who are less than happy with the picture (such as the person who posted the Frasier screen grab) may have a faulty device, if not an issue with their VCR. If working well, this should meet most needs more than adequately. My only real negative is that the red LED on the output side of the device is far far brighter than it needs to be - a major bug bear for me as they can really kill my eyes. Nothing that my trusty black electrical tape can't solve though!Thoroughly recommended for anyone who wants to get a TV experience from their monitor, or if you're in need of a SCART socket!

Good SCART to HDMI converter
Bought this to connect an old VHS recorder to a new TV without an analogue or SCART input. Did the job well; simple to install and produced a reasonable picture . Very satisfied.

Bought for Amiga 1200
I did quite a lot of research into outputting an HDMI signal from my Amiga 1200 and while this isn't the best quality picture, it is still pretty good and a lot cheaper than the alternatives (OSSC etc.). The picture is a bit darker, but good enough and my biggest worry was latency, but I've tested with Pinball dreams, which is one of the more demanding games in terms of reaction speed, and I can't really notice any difference so 5 stars for ease of use and value for money!

Great for retro computers
Bought this specifically to connect retro computers via HDMI. Even more specifically a ZX Spectrum +2 and several Commodore Amigas. Works perfectly.

LiNKFOR Scart to HDMI Converter
This Converter is a neat piece of kit. It comes with a scart cable and a power supply but not a HDMI cable. Straightforward to set up with the included instructions. I am using it to be able to watch old VCR tapes on a modern TV as they no longer have scart inputs. The Converter upscales the Analog signal to HDMI and whilst it does the job and the picture is viewable it does have its limitations which can be expected. For the price I am pleased with my purchase.

It takes RGB signal but gives composite quality
So I wanted a RGB SCART to HDMI converter to replace one I have that overheats and stops working after 20 minutes. Some reviews said it has RGB so I ordered it. Connected it up and booted the computer. Ran a document up and I was finding it hard to read off screen, carried on and it like I had left off my glasses. Decide to switch back to my old converter and it was so much better like comparing component to composite. Absolutely terrible picture quality all with the same wires and TV as my original converter. Not good at all, I tried all settings and TV inputs just in case. No improvement could be had. Returning this item for refund as not fit for purpose.

RGB (Scart) to HDMI
Converts Scart (RGB or composite) to HDMI. Very good HDMI picture quality. Good for connecting "old" devices to HDMI TV's etc. Worked very well and easily, but it wouldn't route through my AV Amp - very good direct to TV so I didn't spend time working out if problem was this or the AMP. Notes, these units can only work one way (Scart TO HDMI here) if you want the reverse buy the reverse NONE work both ways; Scart signal is analogue so cable quality will affect picture (and sound) quality whereas (digital) HDMI cable simply works or doesn't; Scart is limited to 576i (UK) resolution so can never be as good as HDMI direct but, with (TV) upscaling, this unit produces a very acceptable picture.
