Campfire Liquid Smoke Fluid Scented

This product has a very strong and pungent odor. It gets into the surroundings and your clothes. I would not recommend this product. However, as far as smoking goes, it works perfectly.

Product works well with my locomotive an produces plenty of smoke, the advertised scent isn't very strong, but I am still satisfied with my purchase

Basically a "drop in" (get it?) replacement for Lionel smoke fluid, except the folks at Mega-Steam must source WAY better "smells"! This one was labelled as campfire, and yes, it smells just like a campfire. I ran the trains for about 20 minutes before my wife came down the stairs wondering why the house smelled like a barbeque restaurant (not kidding).I would rate the "smoke" as slightly less dense than the Lionel version - this may seem like a negative, but it also means MUCH less eye watering and coughing, plus it dissipates a lot faster. The scent lingers, but it's so nice, no one minds. If you have every experienced the "original" Lionel smoke fluid smell, you can appreciate this.Anyway, I can't wait to buy a few more scents to try out! And more locomotives... and, of course, they'll need cars to pull...

Totally what I was looking for! Was a gift for a g scale train buff and he loves it for making his train look like the real deal.

It's misleading for the makers of the product to say it works with all smoke generators. I tried this as an alternative to the Seuth smoke fluid that came with some Mantua smoke generator equipped HO locos I have of early 1990s vintage. Bottom line? If you throttle these locos up to 12v maximum using this fluid, the loco's smoke generator will indeed make smoke. The problem of course is that at that voltage the loco is moving at a 200+ scale miles per hour, which is way too fast and completely unrealistic. The voltage required to get this fluid to smoke is too high for Mantua loco smoke generators. On the upside, you get a lot of fluid for the price and the Campfire scent is nice, at least in my opinion. It's just a shame that this fluid requires such a high voltage to smoke.

Few drops work well in toy train. To get it to really steam need to run the engine at high speed for a bit. Smell is nice and you can really see the smoke - kids love it
