My four-year-old son loves these. He lays on the floor during quiet time and listens to the stories. Then when he comes to me has 1 million new facts to tell me! In my opinion, this is a must have. I’m really happy I bought these. I bought some more Of the animal ones and I know he’s just going to love them too. I hope they continue to make more like this! Great buy for an animal obsessed toddler ! Content was excellent for learning basic facts about sea creatures.

The media could not be loaded. I was very excited about this set because my son really loves the stories on the West African Tales Tonie. I was excited about this be ause I thought it would be in story form yet factual and non-fiction. I have only listened to the Sea Turtle one so far and it is ok. There is dialog going on between a marine biologist and a child. The marine biologist is telling the child about sea turtles and asking the child questions. It is kind of like a presenter/audience kind of vibe.Pros:-There is a decent amount of information on this Tonie. This is perfect if you’re doing a unit study in sea turtles or if you want to check out books on sea turtles, this could compliment the books.-There is a bit of Spanish incorporated which is nice.-It is all non-fictionCons:-Evolution is presented as factual. I wish that this Tonie had state “facts” as according to the Theory of Evolution rather than as a fact. It’s really not that hard to add, “According to the theory of evolution…” when mentioning time periods or when animals supposedly evolved to gain certain body parts. It is one of the reasons I’m tempted to just send the entire set back.-Not sure if this is a true con but they are very light almost like a duplo block.-The Tonie is really short. I knew it would be shorter than the others but it felt really quick like there needed to be a couple songs or a story from the perspective of the turtle to follow up.I like the idea of this Tonie but I will definitely be more conscious and read up more on anything else Tonie related in the science category.

I wish these were actually the shape of the animals but my three year old loves these when they are on the Tony’s box.
