A creative music review wrapped up in a fascinating story. Hilarious, emotional and often unbelievable. A must read for any Kim Mitchell fan, or indeed anyone who has ever idolised their musical hero.

Fascinating insight of one man's quest to find out more about his favourite band and singer.

Pete the author is a good friend of my husband and me, and has been for many a year, so I was more than happy to read this book even though I'd never heard of Kim Mitchell! I was very interested in all the bits about people I knew and bands Pete had sung in, many of which I'd gone to watch. It took me on a memory journey of my own. I kept thinking I don't remember that etc.I found the book easy to read, although I did skim most of the reviews of the albums of Kim Mitchell I did decide to listen to some. Pete's aversion to buying singles & CD's is so funny and I imagine he's very happy about the resurgence of vinyl. I do remember Pete once asking me if he thought he'd be ok taking a very large sports bag full of CD's on a cruise, and didn't seem to think he'd be embracing modern technology any time soon, I wonder if this is still the case?All in all I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.
