Worth buying. Accurate to within a a min or two for a half hour timer.
Accurate to within a a min or two for a half hour timer. Looks nice. Build quality is ok. But they are not expensive. I use this for game timing. I like it and it looks cool on my desk.

So much nicer than the alarm/stopwatch on my clock
I find judging the length of things like client meetings very difficult. And yet, I don't want an alarm to startle my clients. I've been keeping an eye on the clock in the corner of my computer screen but that involves memory and math! When are we supposed to finish? How far away is that?My coach suggested a sand timer. This one is great. It looks really nice as a piece of office decoration. And it gives me a quick visual of how far I am through a 45 minute client coaching appointment.

Pretty but inaccurate
Aesthetically very pleasing- which is fine if that’s all you are using it for! But unfortunately not very accurate. My 30 min timer is actually 34.2 minutes (not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but slightly frustrating!)

Very Happy
The frame is pretty thin and would probably break with rough handling. We haven't had any issues with it and we use it several times a day (for baby bottles so we know when they have spoiled) lovely colour of sand - kind of burnt orangey terracotta colour.

Timer mmmmmmmm
This 60 minutes timer is not 60 minutes it's actually 72 minutes, I went on my lunch break at work set the timer and when I got back my boss was shouting at me for being late back so the next day I turned the timer over sat and watched it for 30 minutes Which I timed on my watch then turned it back over it then took 30 minutes to empty the sand back into the bottom end I got back in time, that showed him I had 2 lunch breaks of 30 minutes and not on of just an hour

Nice hourglass
Does exactly the job I purchased it for. Sands take an hour to funnel through. This is to make sure I do not sit too long reading or watching films. I absolutely did not want alarms going off every hour or to keep replacing batteries. I already have to hear an alarm for work in the wee hours of the morning I sure as heck am not listening to any more in the day. This was the perfect solution. Up every hour to move around and stretch the injured muscles. From day one results were realised.

Cheap materials
Very poor quality. It doesn’t stay up very well and the base is cheaply done. Disappointing
