3 Flavors We've Tried & 2 We'll Order Again & Again....... See Photos~
I bought these Larabar Coconut Cream Pie bars via Subscribe and Save and everyone in our family we've introduced them to, absolutely loves them. We've also tried the Peanut Butter Cookie bar flavor and, although they weren't bad, we won't likely order them again because they weren't our favorite.Love the simple ingredients! The coconut cream is made of dates, unsweetened coconut, almonds, cashews, and extra virgin coconut oil. I've considered baking a batch of my own, since we have these five ingredients in our pantry. I think my guesstimate of portions would be worth a shot to see how they come out but for under a buck a bar, delivered, they're not too pricey, really. The texture is soft and chewy. They are gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, soy-free, and dairy-free. Natural sugar content and super yummy, while guilt-free, in my book. The peanut butter cookie bars are made of just dates and peanuts.Wholesome and simple, I feel good about giving these to my family. I cut them into quarters and put a portion in each protein packed snack bag. Pairs well with nuts, berries, and the likes. The most recent version we've tried are the Coconut Chocolate Chip bars and they're my new favorite. If you like chocolate, I'd definitely recommend them. The coconut cream pie bars are a more subtle sweetness but also excellent. The ones we've received have been over 7 months from their sell by date. Uploading some photos so you can get a closer look from our two favorites. The bars are small but not too small (coconut chocolate chip are pictured, they're the smaller at 1.6 oz) and absolutely delicious. Smile. Highly recommended.

Moldy! Watch out
There was visible mold growing on these, even thought the freshness date was for September. I am canceling my future orders!

Poor Quality Control, Smashed Bars, One Missing, Leaky Packages, Greasy Box
Second time I have received a greasy box that appears to have resulted from something smashing the box causing some of the packaging containing the bars to start leaking and resulting in oil from the bars leaking into the box. However, this time a bar was missing too; not the first time for a missing bar either... but this time was the last straw and is now resulting in this negative review.

Bad batch of coconut cream pie? Inflating like balloons.
I bought a 16 pack of coconut cream pie larabars on Amazon. They didn't taste that great. I stopped eating them when I noticed some of them were expanding like balloons. Amazon issued refund. After contacting the company they said it is yeast that sometimes causes this and advised that although not harmful, the bars would not taste good. They said they would issue a check towards the purchase of new ones.

Beware of stale tasting Chocolate Coconut Chew Larabars
I've been eating Chocolate Coconut Chew Larabars daily for over 5 years. When the bars are relatively fresh, they are delicious and 5+ stars. The problem is that it has become increasingly difficult to purchase fresh bars. How fresh or stale they taste is directly related to the "Best By" date stamped beneath the seam/flap on each bar. I have seen dates as much as 12 months in the future so I tend to assume that when manufactured, they are stamped one year into the future. My experience is that bars with 9+ months to go on the "Best By" date taste fresh and completely different from older bars, which taste stale - you need to taste a fresher bar to understand this. In particular, the almonds taste stale (rancid?). This issue has only arisen in the last 6-9 months - it was fairly easy to source fresh bars before then. On my recent shipments from Amazon, the "Best By" dates were 5-6 months in the future. These bars have been sitting on a shelf somewhere for 6-7 months and they taste like it. I've tried very hard to find a reliable source of fresher Larabars online and locally and have unfortunately failed. I am switching over to Kind bars which are consistently much fresher. Posted with regrets, since this is potentially such a great product but the way Larabar distribution is handled must be spoiling it. BTW, I've written Larabar several times and all they do is send me some free coupons and the problem continues.

Great. Now I have a ton of expired bars ...
I opened one and they had an off flavor and looked at the wrapper. The whole dang case expire this month. Great. Now I have a ton of expired bars that taste gross. This product is normally good if bought at the actual grocery store where they aren’t old.

Disappointed
Storage and mailing process is off on this product. The box arrived in a bubble envelope with no additional protection. I opened the envelope and the box of bars was already open, the Larabars were flattened and smooshed. Opened a bar and it just crumbled before I touched it. I was disappointed with this purchase and will not buy again.

don't waste your money on this one
We eat a lot of Lara bars. Some flavors are not our favorites, but pecan pie sounded great so we gave them a try. . .These were horrible! I can't tell if we got a "bad batch" or if they are just really terrible. The box had oil on the outside and also sort of inside on the packaging was greasy feeling. They tasted like old fruitcake -- really, really bad, fermented kind of taste -- every single one of us tried and everyone spit them out. So, so bad. What a waste of money.
