Cars passing by are quickly warned of your presence, the bright pulsing strobe light of the waterproof headlamp easily penetrating the volleys of rain. When finally the warm glow of the kitchen light invites you home, you reflect on a saying you once heard: “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” -Benjamin Franklin

Only 18650 protected cells will work in this light.
Great light.Pros-diffused light provides even distributed viewing area.Light weight for extended use.Seems well built for having a plastic casing .Cost is well priced for this type of light.Cons -Only a minor issue for us. We use lots of devices that utilize 18650 batteries. Flattop 18650s.This light can only use a protected cell 18650 battery and not a flattop 18650. This fact needs to be listed in the description. So I have to use a battery pack to recharge this headlamp instead of just swapping batteries. Minor issue. That being said I would recommend this light. Will update review after a few months of use.

The even spread of light is amazing
I was apprehensive in the beginning due to the low number of reviews, but seeing how it isn’t very expensive, I took the plunge and purchased it and it is by far my favorite headlamp of all time. What I love the most about it is that the beam pattern is a more useful even spread rather than a hot spot that most other headlamps offer. Build quality is also top notch and I really like how it swivels rather than use a clicking mechanism that is more prone to breaking. It is a little heavier than headlamps that run off of three AAAs, but it’s well worth it. In the photo i attached, the left is the highest setting on my Energizer headlamp, and the right is the highest setting in the NS.I can’t wait to bring this on my next camping trip!

Well designed! Good light and good battery life.
I picked this up along with a few other different headlamps to see which i liked best for the price to stock around the workshop and at work. This one is one of my two top runners.Con:The only real con i can think of is the type of LED light on this doesnt work well for any use at distance. it provides a very nice blanket lighting with good color temperature and brightness, but has no spot light functionality so the light is nearly useless past ~10 to 15 feet. The hands free feature is nice but be wary of leaving it on that way as it will drain the battery even while the light is off, and its easy to accidentally turn the light on when you lean close to something (or drop it on the workbench) and blind yourself or drain the battery completely if you forget about it.Pros:The wide area lighting on this headlamp is GREAT for working detailed projects or on vehicles! The built in micro-USB charging port is very handy to throw it on a charger when you're done for the day.The swappable 18650 battery is an excellent feature as that allows you to simply swap to a charged battery if you forgot to put the headlamp on a charger. Of course this requires you to have spare 18650 batteries and their own charger, but if you pick those up or already have them its one thing that makes this headlamp the best.

Best $20 Headlamp out there.
It has a bright, warm to natural colored light with perfectly even light output. No circular shape of illumination on the wall. It literally lights up the room in front of you. The battery lasts for most of my 8 hour days on a full charge. It charges in a couple hours. The hands free option failed after one week and the charger port cover falls open sometimes. I dropped it over 30 feet once and it survived, but the fall made a poor contact to the negative side of the 18650. I made a new coil spring with some 16awg solid copper wire and the switch is better than ever. I think it even runs cooler than before. My favorite headlamp so far. The customer service however is non-existent, otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.

you can't pin point a small area with light like some do
I work in refineries as welding inspector and I am in dark vessels a lot.I have a pros and CONS.PROS:- Very bright light. Brighter than anything you'll buy from a department store.- Projects a wide even area of light.- Rechargeable- Simple design and not big and chunkyCONS:- Designed for light in close quarters. Not for distance.- Because of wide even area of light, you can't pin point a small area with light like some do.

Nice light for the money!
I like this light, it is small and lite weight. Excellent for working under a vehicle on a creeper, not having a large battery pack on the back of your head really helps. This is a flood light, great for working on projects. The motion sensor is a nice feature when your hands are a mess. There are some quality concerns especially with the battery door witch is also one of the battery contacts although it hasn't given me any trouble so far. It is hard to complain about this light for the money, in my opinion if you want the quality of a $70 light you should buy a $70 light. I will buy more of these and recommend them.

Someone's spent a lot of time developing this product quality components quality all around!
Beats out the competition nicest headlamp I've ever seen come off of Amazon. Nightshade is a serious company dedicated to their products this uses cob technology with a diffuser. All claims on website are true as I have thoroughly tested full power half power run times. Do not buy the Streamlight Bandit this outperforms it. They nailed it on this one five stars absolutely not one complaint received one damaged during shipping other than that best for the money

Perfect for me
Excellent for my purpose. Puts out a wide beam of very bright, white light. An even beam of light, not s spotlight for distance so much. Won’t throw a beam across a football field. I use is for working in dim places... under the hood of the car, under the car...that sort of thing. I tossed my old pretzel light. Can’t comment on battery life, but I like rechargeables like this oneAnd for the price...it’s a steal.
