Catches on left side
The media could not be loaded. Very happy with finish on this vise until I went to clamp down on an item on right side of jaw. When loosening the jaws they stick then suddenly snap open. Only happened on the right side. See video.Amazon exchanged the vise and I changed my rating to a 5. Replacement vise works flawlessly. Really like the “U” shaped casting over the screw as this seems to make the vise more solid, and less lateral movement. Plus it keeps the screw threads clean. This feature is not found in the cheaper vises.I looked at many vises and for the money, you can’t go wrong.

Quality appears good
Fit and finish was very good. Used it on a project already. Would buy this again. Came with bolts.

This is a nice and stout 6 inch vise.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this. This wasn't sent to me for free like all the other reviews. The vise came packaged very well! Has a nice beefy lead screw and the powdercoat was in fantastic shape. Very nice serrated jaws and they line up great when closed. This is low profile and sleek looking vise that really doesn't give up much depth from top of jaw to base of the opening. The 6 inch width is great for shop use. Not much of a anvil on the back but I don't pound on my bench vises anyway. Seems to be a overall great bench vise for home or small shop use. Has a hell of a rated clamping pressure due to the big lead screw and the Ductile Iron composition. I'm happy with it.

Nice vise takes some work to get setup
This is a nice, heavy under mounted woodworking vise. It has plenty of clamping force, a dog that raises and lowers, a quick release level for fast adjustment, a heavy duty main screw and two good sized sliding bars next to it.It took me quite awhile to get it setup and tuned up to make it work smoothly. The thread on the main screw is machined roughly at the sharp edges. I used a wire wheel and a needle file to smooth out the rough spots. You can see the thread type in the pictures. It’s a different type than an older Wilton or Columbian Vise so having burrs in the sharp edge isn’t as bad as it sounds. It came with two smaller holes in each face. I have always put a couple of large screws into the edge of the workbench with this type of vise so I had to drill and countersink a couple of holes. The four holes for mounting wood to the vise face were small and untapped. I enlarged them, taped a thread and used tapered head bolts to attach the wood. This isn’t a top quality super expensive vise. It does however have all the bones to be a good vise that works well. If you are willing to put in some elbow grease and get it all tuned up it should last for many years.I gave it 4 stars because it is what it is and expectations for a vise in this price point are expected to be of a certain quality. If it cost 30% less it would have made 5 stars. If it was 30% or more expensive it would have received 3 stars

Sturdy vice Low price.
Easy to install. Did not see any rough threads that others have mentioned. I did apply some white grease on threads and guide rods before first use. Works smoothly, good third hand in the wood shop.

Great vise so far
Does what I need it to do for a reasonable price. Hopefully it will hold up well but so far it's functioned well, the swivel feature is handy.

Solid Vise
Received this vise and it’s solid, sturdy and heavy. It seems like it’ll hold up well for use in my shop. It comes with the bolts, washers and nuts to secure to table top or workbench. I’ll be mounting this on another work bench once I build it, but I like that the bolts that comes with this vise are long enough to accommodate the depth of my bench top. The vise glides open and closed easily. I’d recommend this.

better quality than I expected at this price
I considered buying a larger vice, but decided that this one would serve my purposes. There are several things I like about it: (1) it has a decent sized anvil, (2) easy installation, (3) the base has two locking arms so it does not swivel unless I release both, (4) it doesn't wobble, (5) quality appears to be decent, and (6) the opening is fairly large for a 4" basic bench vise. The instructions are pretty basic, but it does tell you what size bolts to buy. I chose to install with lock nuts as I don't anticipate needing to remove the vice from my work bench. For the price and size this is a very good buy.Update: This vice has worked well for me so far, but rust spots have started to appear on the anvil and other non painted surfaces. I have downrated this to three stars as a result.
