I needed to connect my M1 Macbook Air to my Samsung 55" TV, and this USB-to-HDMI cable fit the bill and has been working trouble-free for the past week. Just plug it in and go! Getting the right output resolution was a bit of a pain, but that's on Apple and isn't the fault of this HDMI cable. I didn't know if this cable would make it easy to output audio from my MacBook Air to the TV over HDMI, but it was actually pretty easy–all I had to do was select the TV as the audio out on the audio on the Sound Preferences and I was in business!Regarding the build quality of this cable, it seems pretty high quality and has a nice dark metallic grey color to it, which actually is a pretty good match for the Space Gray color of my Macbook Air. The video chips are really well-hidden inside the HDMI end and USB-C ends, and it doesn't look like they'll ever come loose. Everything is well sealed and seemingly high quality.

Worked on every app on phone
Prime video, YouTube, etc. all worked amazing! Connected it to my projector and didn't disappoint, connected a speaker as well. (Highly recommend)

HDMI to USB-C cable
Got this to try and avoid dissassembling my GoPRo every time I need to upload footage to my MacBook Pro. So far can't get it to work, need to try and sort it out since it should? Right?Jimmy, Making it work

Barely works
This 3 ft cable is absolutely unstable. Picture would cut out repeatedly without fail from the slightest changes on my Mac. Open a tab, cuts out, open an app, cuts out, click something, you already guessed it, pitch black. Not only that but the picture produced from the cable just looked so low quality I knew it wasn't something on my end. Replaced it with a 3 ft amazon basics cable and immediately resolved all my issues. I'm returning the Doltby cable. Maybe it will work on lower resolution or smaller monitors but on my 34 inch 1440p ultra wide this cable simply could not keep up. Look elsewhere.

It doesn't support audio
Everything is OK except it doesn't support audio.

Oops, but this works great...lol
I meant to buy the one with a female HDMI, but I messed up and didn't pay attention to the picture when I hit the button. I picked up a female to female adapter and it works great. Maybe better for me to have gotten this one as it can v serve more functions.
